Rumors began swirling earlier today that an East coast redhead with another life to live had joined a daytime soap. Turns out the redhead in question is none other than Melissa Archer, formerly of ABC and Prospect Park’s “One Life to Live.” Per Soap Opera Digest, Archer has joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in an as yet to be named role.
They say home is where the heart is, and it’s a saying that members of “The Young and the Restless’” Winters family take literally. Not only have brothers Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Malcolm (Shemar Moore) shared Drucilla (Victoria Rowell), Alex (Alexia Robinson), Sofia (Julia Pace Mitchell) and Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) in some way or another, Neil’s adopted son, Devon (Bryton James), has followed in the family tradition: He and Neil’s wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan), are secretly in love with each other! Add into the mix Neil’s recent blindness, his past with alcoholism and a flash return visit by his brother, Malcolm, and you’ve got one heck of a mess that’s sure to make “Y&R’s” Fall Sweeps a can’t-miss event! Soap Opera Network met up with St. John to get the scoop on the juicy drama ahead, and he reveals that what you’re seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg!
The wait is over: “The Young and the Restless’” Terrell Tilford (Dr. Barton Shelby) and his wife, former “Guiding Light” star Victoria Platt (ex-Vicky Spaulding), welcomed their new daughter into the world this past weekend!
While his “White Collar” USA Network series gears up for its final swan song, former “Guiding Light” star Matt Bomer (ex-Ben Reade) has signed on for at least one episode of “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” reports Entertainment Weekly, who spoke with show creator Ryan Murphy to get the scoop.
Before becoming a highly sought television and film star, Blair Underwood got his acting chops wet with his role as Bobby Blue on ABC’s “One Life to Live” in the mid-1980s. Today, August 25, the actor turns the big 5-0, which makes him an official member of AARP. To celebrate his joining the exclusive club, the magazine has created a special edition mock cover of AARP: The Magazine (shown above).
“Days of our Lives’” Kate (Lauren Koslow) wasn’t the only one who was shocked when Jordan (Chrishell Stause) hauled back and slapped her across the face for sleeping with Rafe (Galen Gering): Viewers were a bit surprised to see the formerly timid physical therapist continue to grow her backbone, as well. And when Soap Opera Network recently caught up with Stause, she revealed that this is only the beginning of her alter ego’s catty side. In fact, Jordan will be getting tougher and tougher as more and more secrets about her unfold!
Sebastian Roche experienced quite a lot of excitement as “General Hospital’s” Jerry Jax, but even his Port Charles stint couldn’t have prepared him for his latest ride: The French/Scottish actor will be starring opposite Liam Neeson in Universal Picture’s latest thriller, “A Walk Among the Tombstones!”
CBS is once again searching for its next male model for “The Price is Right.”
“Dallas’” Jesse Metcalfe (Chistopher Ewing) is one lucky man: He had the opportunity of romancing “Desperate Housewives’” Gabi (Eva Longoria), and now he’s in the running to land “Two Broke Girls’” Max (Kat Dennings)!
CBS’ dramatic series, “The Bold and the Beautiful,” may be getting a shot of comedic relief: Famous funnyman Fred Willard is heading to the sudser for a four-episode arc as the younger brother of Eric Forrester (John McCook)!
