“The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will be telecast live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26. Today, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced the first round of presenters which includes cast members from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital,” “The Young and the Restless,” along with personalities Nancy O’Dell, Regis Philbin, Steve Harvey, Marie Osmond, Craig Ferguson, Shemar Moore and Alex Trebek.

Since its grand return in 2013, in celebration of the soap’s 50th anniversary, “General Hospital’s” Nurses Ball has become an annual event for not just the characters taking part but a way for the fans of the series to enjoy their favorite stories with a touch of song and dance. Today ABC announced that the Nurses Ball will take center stage in Port Charles beginning Friday, May 1 and running through Tuesday, May 5.

On “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will stop at nothing to prevent Deacon (Sean Kanan) from marrying Quinn (Rena Sofer), “Days of our Lives” features the return of Eileen Davidson as Kristen Dimera, and “The Young and the Restless” is filled with brutal betrayals and numerous revelations that no one saw coming. Is Sharon’s (Sharon Case) life in danger?

As supposed investigators put all the pieces for “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” together on a bulletin board in anticipation of the upcoming telecast, the one question left to answer was “who could possibly be hosting the ‘Daytime Emmy Awards’ with all these celebs?” Enter Tyra Banks (“The FAB Life,” “The Tyra Banks Show,” “America’s Next Top Model”). In a newly released promo for broadcast, Pop hilariously reveals that social media (or in actuality a news release) already answered the question.
