Starring Bradley Cooper and directed by Clint Eastwood, Warner Bros. Pictures is celebrating its “American Sniper” this Martin Luther King Jr. holiday as the film is currently setting several January box office records. Estimates have the film, which includes appearances by “General Hospital’s” Billy Miller (Jason Morgan) and “Nashville’s” Eric Close, taking in $89.5 million over the three-day weekend and $105.3 million over the four-day holiday weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.

Now that the Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone, Christmas Day will be all the rage this holiday season. If you’re not interested in staying home to open your presents and spend time indoors with the family, why not go “Into The Woods” with soap alums Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey Hughes, “As The World Turns”) and Mackenzie Mauzy (ex-Phoebe Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful”)?

When news first hit that the controversial novel “50 Shades of Grey” was going to be made into a movie, rumors within the daytime community started spreading: “Days of our Lives’” James Scott (EJ DiMera) was reportedly being considered for the lead role of Christian Grey, a handsome yet tormented billionaire who lures a young woman named Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) into his dark world of sexual fantasies.

Sonny Corinthos may have his hands full on “General Hospital” lately, but his portrayer, Maurice Benard, managed to find the time to film a movie last year! It’s called “The Ghost and The Whale” and it features Benard as a bipolar man who is shrouded in mystery surrounding the death of his wife at sea.
