With anticipation of returning characters, historic moments, and happy memories upon us as “Days of our Lives” celebrates its 50th anniversary later this fall, the daytime drama series is set to release a new photo book titled “Days of our Lives: 50 Years,” which was pieced together by co-executive producer Greg Meng. As part of the release, a multi-city promotional tour has been scheduled.

Susan Lucci, former star of “All My Children” (ex-Erica Kane) and a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, will be joined by Blondie legend Debbie Harry, Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields for a comedic reading of the 2010 release, “Kardashian Konfidential,” reports The New York Post. The ladies will each be taking on the role of one of the Kardashian sisters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloe – as part of the Celebrity Autobiography performance show on Friday, August 21 at the Guild Hall in East Hampton.

Since leaving NBC’s “Days of our Lives” earlier this year, actor James Scott (ex-EJ DiMera) reteamed with singer Roxanna for her music video “Here with Me,” following their 2012 collaboration, “Unforgotten,” and now the actor is one of several cast members in Audible’s free 1 hour and 13 minute long audio dramatization that vividly imagines and reenacts the famous, impromptu World War I Christmas Eve truce declared by rank-and-file British and German soldiers in 1914. The release commemorates the 100th anniversary of said truce.

An odd question for sure, but while on his book tour promoting his newest title, “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year,” Bravo TV executive and “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen was recently posed the question, “If Susan Lucci [ex-Erica Kane, ‘All My Children’] showed up at your door naked, what would you do?” For reference: He’d give her a robe!

If you’ve ever tuned into NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” and wondered what life is like for the contestants following their grueling experience, former “As The World Turns” actress Martha Byrne (ex-Lily Snyder) along with writer Daryn Strauss have come together for a new series that hopes to give you the answers you crave. In “Weight: The Series,” Byrne portrays the role of Claire Carlson, a mom who loses 100 pounds on a reality show and then has to contend with the absurd and complicated reactions of her friends and family as she attempts to balance the day to day pressures of staying thin and appearing on reality TV. If the description sounds interesting to you, you might be interested in attending a VIP Soap Party and Advanced Screening of the pilot alongside several of daytime’s biggest and brightest stars!

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” which aired this weekend in its entirety and was conducted by her former “All My Children” co-star Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery), actress Cady McClain (Kelly Andrews, “The Young and the Restless”; ex-Dixie Martin, “AMC”) talks about her new book, “Murdering My Youth: A Memoir,” where she reveals that her parents used her for financial gain, how her years of sexual abuse at the hands of her father nearly led her down an emotional breaking point after filming love scenes at “AMC,” and how her marriage to “General Hospital’s” Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins) has helped her grow.

After saying goodbye to friends and colleagues on Friday, May 23 as she wrapped filming her 21 year run as Samantha “Sami” Brady on NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” Alison Sweeney is gearing up for the release of “Scared Scriptless,” her fourth book. The actress will appear at the NBC Experience Store in New York on Tuesday, June 3 signing purchased copies of her book, which is being released by Hyperion the same day.
