Just days away from celebrating her 38th birthday, actress Marnie Schulenburg, a Daytime Emmy Award nominee for her 2007-2010 portrayal of Alison Stewart on “As The World Turns,” has died.

The 37-year-old passed away on Tuesday, May 17 of metastatic breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2020, five months after giving birth to her daughter, Coda, with husband Zack Robidas.

A graduate from DeSales University in 2006 with a B.A. in Theatre, Schulenburg was born in Cape Cod, Massachusetts on May 21, 1984. She was a former gymnast and took part in multiple stage productions before making her television debut on the CBS daytime drama series in March 2007.

In addition to “As The World Turns,” Schulenburg later took on the role of Jo Sullivan in the Prospect Park online reboot of “One Life to Live” in 2013. One of Schulenburg’s final roles will be as Maggie Caysen in the drama “City on a Hill” when the series returns for its third season in July. She’ll appear in at least six episodes of the series.
