Veteran Producer and Director Jennifer Pepperman Joins AEW as VP of Content Development

Jennifer Pepperman ("As The World Turns," "One Life to Live") is joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as VP of Content Development following her exit from the WWE.

Late last week, it was reported that Jennifer Pepperman (“As The World Turns,” “One Life to Live”) would be exiting her long-time role as a senior writer and producer at the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, working primarily for the company’s “WWE Friday Night SmackDown” series since 2017. Now comes word that Pepperman has joined AEW as VP of Content Development.

In her new role, Pepperman will work alongside Tony Khan, CEO and Head of Creative, in the development of content for “AEW: Dynamite,” live on TBS every Wednesday, “AEW: Rampage” on TNT every Friday and “AEW: Collision,” live on TNT every Saturday.

“Adding Jennifer Pepperman’s brilliant mind to the AEW team opens the door for exciting new ideas and will help us build upon the incredible stories currently developing on the road to AEW Revolution across our three weekly shows on TBS and TNT, and the effects of Jennifer’s arrival in AEW will be felt for many years in the future,” said Khan in a statement.  “We’re thrilled to welcome her today, and I look forward to her creativity and collaboration with our team across the board in what will be AEW’s biggest year yet, and beyond.”

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) last Thursday, “Monday Night Raw” general manager and producer Adam Pearce said of Pepperman’s exit from the WWE, “I have always appreciated your creativity, passion, and the countless time you’ve given to help me and others backstage over the years. I’ll miss your energy, but I know you’ll be great wherever you may roam. My gratitude forever!!!”

According to her IMDb page, Pepperman started her daytime career in 1998 as a coordinating producer at “One Life to Live.” In 2000, she joined“As The World Turns” as an associate director before becoming a full-time director at the series from 2004 until its conclusion in 2010. She followed her stint at the CBS soap with a return to “One Life to Live” in 2011, where she continued directing episodes during the remainder of the show’s run on ABC. She was named executive producer for the show’s 2013 reboot.

Pepperman won three Daytime Emmy Awards throughout her career, starting in 2007 for her directing work on “As The World Turns,” followed by another win in 2014 for directing “One Life to Live” and in 2019 for her directing for the digital drama series “After Forever.”
