While fans of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will soon be getting a chance to once again see Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) back on their screens in the coming year, it looks like they’ll also be saying goodbye to another beloved character. Actor Greg Vaughan, who has portrayed Eric Brady on the soap since November 2012, will reportedly be exiting the canvas after it was decided to write the character out of Salem.
Although not your traditional 22 episode full season, CBS has ordered seven additional installments of “Supergirl,” giving the freshman a full season consisting of 20 episodes.

The death of former “All My Children” actor David Canary (ex-Adam/Stuart) has touched many in the daytime world, among them soap superstar Susan Lucci (ex-Erica). Canary portrayed one of Lucci’s many husbands on the soap, and she remembered him fondly on Twitter and Instagram, noting, “I am so grateful to have known him.”
Daytime legend David Canary, best remembered for his dual role as Adam and Stuart Chandler on “All My Children,” has died. The actor, who was 77, passed away of natural causes on November 16 at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, Connecticut.
Bad news for “The Young and the Restless'” Daniel Goddard. He’s on his way to the hospital to have emergency surgery, due to complications from an injury he incurred on the set of the CBS soap two months ago.
