Casting for Hallmark’s upcoming backdoor pilot, “My Gal Sunday” has been in full swing, and three of the series’ major players have finally been confirmed: Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones, “General Hospital;” ex-Dominick Marone, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) and Rachel Blanchard (“Clueless;” “7th Heaven”).
Considered the Oscars for the young, The CW Television Network announced in early May that it’ll broadcast “The 15th Annual Young Hollywood Awards,” which marks the first time the awards show will be broadcast on television. Earlier today it was announced Michael Levitt (“The Billboard Music Awards”, “TV Land Awards”, “Scream Awards”, “Producers Guild Awards”, “World Music Awards”, “A-List Awards” and “ALMA Awards”) would be the executive producer of the telecast. The awards celebrates the best emerging talent in film, music and television.

Beginning Friday, July 26 and running through Sunday, July 28, “The Young and the Restless'” Leslie Stevens (Rose Turner) will join the cell block tango in “Chicago: The Musical.” The actress will be appearing alongside such heavy weights as Lucy Lawless, Drew Carey, Stephen Moyer, Ashley Simpson and others at the Hollywood Bowl version of the Broadway hit.

Turns out you’ll finally get a chance to view the video in its entirety during Kanan’s upcoming November appearance schedule as part of his birthday bash weekend. From Saturday, November 2 (Kanan’s actual birthday) through Sunday, November 3, Kanan has scheduled appearances in New York and New Jersey that’ll include a screening of the rap video “I’m a Soap Star,” stand-up comedy, an autograph signing, and posing with fans.
With movie star Jake Gyllenhaal unavailable due to a scheduling conflict, Disney is in the process of signing Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey Hughes, “As The World Turns“) to take over the role as Rapunzel’s prince in the studios Rob Marshall directed “Into the Woods,” reports Deadline Hollywood. The film is an adaptation of the 1987 Broadway musical and will be produced by Marc Platt.
