As previously reported, James O’Halloran won “The Price is Right’s” next male model competition when host Drew Carey announced his name during Part 1 of the daytime game show. O’Halloran, 30, came on down the famous aisles of the Bob Barker studio before conversing with Carey, who noted that not only is the model young and good looking, “He’s got to have that Australian accent too?”

The Price is Right: 2014 Male Model Search
After five weeks of eliminations and heartbreak, “The Price is Right” narrowed its next male model search down to three – Jonathan Morgan, Jay Byars and James O’Halloran – when the finalists appeared on the Monday, December 1 edition of CBS’ “The Talk.” After the reveal, America began voting for who they felt best fit the brand of the game show when the polls opened via priceisright.com/nextpricemodel. Polls closed on Friday, December 5. Today, December 8, the game show revealed who would finally take home the prize of becoming the next male model on “The Price is Right,” which entails a week-long modeling gig beginning Monday, December 15. So who did America choose?
You met the three finalists for the next male model search currently underway at CBS’ “The Price is Right,” via their appearance on the Monday, December 1 edition of CBS’ “The Talk,” but what does the game show’s first male model, Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Ridgeway, “Days of our Lives”; ex-Pete Cortlandt, “All My Children”) have to say about another person taking on his former daytime role? The actor recently spoke with Soap Opera Network about his experience on the game show, what it was like helping judge the competition, and responds to comments made about him by “Price is Right” executive producer, Mike Richards.
Call it a coincidence of sorts if you like but CBS’ “The Talk” today announced the three finalists for the ultimate prize of becoming “The Price is Right’s” next male model, and their names all just so happen to start with the letter “J.”
It’s raining men at “The Price Is Right,” which has been in the thick of a national male model search of manly proportions for the past couple of weeks. And seeing as how the game show not only helped launch the career of “Days of our Lives’” Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Rogers; ex-Pete Cortlandt, “All My Children”) but also decided to include “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) in this year’s search (which Soap Opera Network was the first to reveal), we decided to have executive producer Mike Richards come on down and give us the full scoop!
“The Young and the Restless’” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) already have quite the dream gig, both being stars of daytime’s most-watched drama series. But the pair was recently given an opportunity of Showcase Showdown proportions: They were asked to participate in “The Price Is Right’s” recent national male model search, for which they not only filmed soap opera scenes with the contestants, but also helped narrow down the final five hotties to the final three that America will have the chance to vote on!
It’s been America’s favorite game show for as long as most can remember, but “The Price Is Right” is looking completely different these days. However, if Mike Richards has done the job he intended since stepping into the role of executive producer in 2009, nobody’s the wiser that the game show has basically done a 180 in recent years!
“The Price is Right” launching second male model search as show looks to replace Robert Scott Wilson who has since moved on to star on “Days of our Lives.”
CBS is once again searching for its next male model for “The Price is Right.”
With Robert Scott Wilson now appearing weekdays as Ben Rogers on NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” CBS’ “The Price is Right” has announced plans to replace the actor/model for another round of “The Price is Right: Male Model Search.”
