‘Another World’ Finds New Life Online

TeleNext Media, the company that produces "As the World Turns" and the recently canceled "Guiding Light" for Procter & Gamble and CBS, has announced that they will be launching a new website dedicated to the defunct sudser "Another World," which was canceled in 1999. The site, anotherworldtoday.com, will provide fans with insight into what their favorite characters have been up to in the past decade.The move comes on the heels of better than expected viewership of classic "AW" episodes on Hulu.com. According to Alina Adams, creative content producer for TeleNext Media, “People still have warm, nostalgic feelings for the show. 'AW' ushered a lot of fans into the world of daytime drama. Despite rumors to the contrary, Erika Slezak, the matriarch of Llanview, still has 'Life to Live.' In recent months, rumors have surfaced claiming that the 38-year vet had been unceremoniously and abruptly fired from "OLTL." However, a spokesperson for the show assures us that neither Ms. Slezak nor Viki is going anywhere anytime soon, and that she will play a major part in the upcoming conclusion to the baby Chloe storyline during May sweeps. In fact, word has it that Viki will be the one to place the baby into the arms of her real mother. But will those arms belong to Starr Manning or Marcie McBain? Bonner, who debuted in Llanview on December 21, 2006 as Officer Talia Sahid, was recently fired by "OLTL," in what appears to be a cost cutting move which also involved co-stars Chris Stack and Kathy Brier (Michael and Marcie Walsh McBain), along with Camila Banus and A. Martinez (Lola and Ray Montez). Although her character Talia did not play a major role in many of the show's storylines, she was involved in several plots during her time in Llanview including investigating the One Pure People white supremacist group and the KAD serial killer, as well named the Princess of Mendorra during one of "OLTL's" special 40th anniversary storylines last July. ...
