‘GH’s’ Maurice Benard Plays Detective in ‘A Lover Betrayed,’ Also Stars Jamie Luner and Jason Brooks
After more than 20 years portraying a mobster on “General Hospital,” Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) is aligning himself with the law this time around in the Lifetime Movie Network original movie, “A Lover Betrayed.” Premiering Saturday, September 9 at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. PDT, the TV movie features Benard as a detective tasked with helping a stalking victim prove her innocence after an ex-lover accuses her of the doing the same to him.
“General Hospital” stars Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) were just some of the actors from the daytime drama series who took the time to answer calls from viewers all across America as part of Disney|ABC Television Group’s “Day of Giving,” which took place on Thursday, August 31, and continued well into Friday morning. In conjunction with the American Red Cross, the initiative has so far raised $14.3 million in aid that’ll help benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
