CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” has joined forces with the Alzheimer’s Association in a fight to end Alzheimer’s. The soap began a story arc last fall in which Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) learned she had Alzheimer’s disease and how her family rallies around to support her during her time of need.

Hallmark Channel has renewed “Home & Family,” hosted by Mark Steines and Debbie Matenopoulos, for a sixth season, the network announced during TCAs.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the first round of presenters for “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” taking place Sunday, May 1 from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA and “The 43rd Annual Creative Arts Daytime Emmy Awards” taking place on Friday, April 29, also at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.

As previously reported, former soapers Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) and Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) have teamed up for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie, “Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery,” which premieres Saturday, May 2 at 9:00 PM, ET/8:00 PM, CT on the network. After conducting interviews with several of today’s top talents and filing special assignment reports for the newsmagazine on multiple occassions over the past year, CBS Television Distributions’s “Entertainment Tonight” officially announced today the hiring of “All My Children” alum Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) as its new weekend co-anchor and a full-time correspondent. He will also serve as a fill-in anchor for the weekday telecast, hosted by Nancy O’Dell and Kevin Frazier.

“All My Children” alum and frequent “Good Morning America” and “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent, Cameron Mathison, has signed on to star alongside Alison Sweeney (“Days of our Lives,” “The Biggest Loser”) in a new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries series of movies beginning with “Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder” (working title), which will premiere on the network in the spring.

As previously reported, “The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will air live exclusively on the internet for the first time on Sunday, June 22 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. While you get yourself prepared to watch daytime’s biggest night online, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced the presenter lineup for the telecast, which includes several of daytime’s biggest names from soap operas, talk shows and game shows, among many other genres airing during the daypart.

When word had it that Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) had been spotted on the set of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” in late April, the rumor mill immediately lit up with speculation that the actor had secretly met with show producers and had signed on to portray the contract role of Adam Newman (previously portrayed by Michael Muhney). Earlier today, Mathison took to Twitter to clear up said rumors while visiting Israel for a friend’s wedding.

According to Entertainment Tonight, which has your exclusive first look, the Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 2 airings of ABC’s “General Hospital” will have fans receiving a special treat as the soap has mixed together several of its iconic opening sequences into a 35 second mash-up that honors the history and legacy of television’s longest-running current dramatic series.
