CBS orders two more seasons of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” officially taking it through its 35th anniversary season.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” is losing another one.
Less than a month since Rome Flynn (Zende Forrester Dominguez) announced plans to depart the CBS daytime drama series, comes word that the soap will be losing another rising star. This time it’s Pierson Fodé (Thomas Forrester).
“The Bold and the Beautiful” today released a PSA to fight distracted driving following scenes in which R.J (Anthony Turpel), and his girlfriend, Coco (Courtney Grosbeck) are involved in a car accident.
Victoria Rowell, who portrayed Drucilla Winters on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” for the better part of two decades, is suing the network, Sony Pictures Television, Bell Dramatic Serial Company and Bell-Phillip Television Productions, Inc., producers of the daytime drama series, reports Deadline, for what her suit alleges is the result of Rowell being “impoverished and blackballed because she had chosen to speak out against the discrimination and injustice that she had endured and witnessed happen to other African Americans.”
On the Thursday, December 4 broadcast of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” host Stephen Colbert covered the ambassadorship of “The Bold and the Beautiful” producer Colleen Bell, wife of head writer and executive producer, Bradley P. Bell, with a hilarious take on the drama surrounding her confirmation following some lively comments from Senator John McCain, who strongly disagreed with President Obama’s choice of Bell for the position. “We’re about to vote on a totally unqualified individual to be ambassador to a nation which is very important to our national security interest. Her qualifications are as a producer of the television soap opera ‘The Bold and The Beautiful,’ contributed 800,000 [dollars] to Obama in the last election and bundled more than $2.1 million for President Obama’s re-election effort,” said McCain on the Senate floor on Tuesday, December 2, just before Bell was confirmed as the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary with a vote of 52-42.
On Wednesday, November 5, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” shocked the daytime world when it announced that Kim Matula would be departing the drama series after nearly five years portraying Hope Logan, but don’t fret, Hope will continue being part of the canvas, says head writer and executive producer, Bradley P. Bell.
From Liam and Ivy, to Hope and Wyatt, Ridge and Caroline, Rick and Maya and even menacing Quinn herself, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” previews its November Sweeps storylines as told by executive producer and head writer Bradley P. Bell on the official website of the daytime soap.
Cast members from “The Bold and the Beautiful” will appear on “The Talk” on Friday, November 7 to help promote upcoming episodes filmed in Amsterdam.
As previously reported, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” is currently on location filming scenes in Amsterdam for upcoming episodes of the daytime drama series. In a soap opera twist, cast members from the soap met up with the stars of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which reportedly now includes former “B&B” actress Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, “The Young and the Restless”; Kristen DiMera, “Days of our Lives”) and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed). Incidentally, because Bravo has yet to confirm either actresses participation in the series, it looks like the meeting of the former soapers (along with “Housewife” Lisa Vanderpump) and the cast of “B&B” has resulted in the “secret” being revealed!
Soap Opera Network first reported on the possibility in early July, while speaking with “The Bold and the Beautiful” executive producer and head writer Bradley P. Bell, and now it is official: The daytime drama series will film a romantic story on the canals of Amsterdam the first week of October, the soap announced yesterday, September 24.
