On “The Young and the Restless,” now that Amanda knows that her grandfather, Sutton (Jack Landron), was the one responsible for the death of her father, she’s not going to let him get away with it no matter how long ago it was portrayer Mishael Morgan reveals in an interview previewing what’s to come on the soap.
Speaking with Soaps In Depth, Morgan says, “Knowing Amanda’s character, she’s gonna try and do things the right way and try to go the legal way.” This means she’ll try to “sit down with the DA and expose everything that she has and see if that will lead to him [Sutton] possibly going on trial for it.”
If things don’t go the route she hopes it does, that’s not a problem for Amanda, Morgan notes. “She has very high scruples, so other than breaking the law and going against her morals, I think she’s gonna do everything else in her power to make sure that he pays for what he did.”
Despite her grandfather’s misdeeds, Morgan expects the situation won’t dampen Amanda’s ability to build a relationship with her mother, Naya (Ptosha Storey). “I think that with everything that Amanda’s gone through in her life, her ability to forgive is a little bigger than a normal person. She’s learned to forgive, to move on, and to be this highly functioning person,” Morgan says.
