All Things About

Sharon Case

The wedding of Nicholas and Sharon Newman (Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case) kicked off yesterday, October 3, but before the couple can say their “I Do’s,” Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) is back in town and getting ready to crash the wedding, but will she get there in time? Viewers who tuned into the episode found Phyllis get stopped by a cop who’s apparently there to arrest or detain her, but in the promo for next week’s episodes, Phyllis rolls up in the chapel ready to reveal all, and Sharon’s a devastated mess. “I don’t know what she knows,” an emotional Sharon says to Nicholas, who wonders if it’s about the secret (which secret?) that has her all flustered. Of course, it could all be just a dream. Hmm…

On today’s episode of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” the Nicholas and Sharon Bachelor/Bachelorette party is about to go down in the history books as the one which found 20 of the show’s characters all get arrested at the same exact time during the same exact event, a first for daytime television. “It’s one of the funniest shows we’ve shot in so long. Everybody is in the show. It’s a bachelor and a bachelorette party, everything goes wrong, everybody had so much fun. I mean, we had fun shooting it, the characters were having a great time at this party. It really was almost like ‘The Hangover’ [the movie] kind of,” shared Sharon Case (Sharon) in a joint interview with Joshua Morrow (Nicholas) set to air today on Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family.”

“The Young and the Restless” has cemented its spot as the number one daytime drama for the past 25 years with a record of outstanding decisions, and the sudser’s latest flawless move was the addition of Emmy-winning actress Gina Tognoni, who took over the role of Phyllis Summers (previously portrayed by Michelle Stafford, Nina Clay, “General Hospital”) this year. The Missouri native showed off her serious acting chops as “Guiding Light’s” Dinah Marler and “One Life to Live’s” Kelly Cramer, and now that Phyllis is finally out of her lengthy coma and headed back to Genoa City starting this week, Tognoni will be giving soap fans yet another dose of her powerhouse skills — but this time, as the feisty GC diva “Y&R” fans have loved since she hit the scene back in 1994!

Summer may be over, but “The Young and the Restless” is keeping it hot with a special guest appearance by real-life Chippendales dancer Jaymes Vaughan, who’s scheduled to put on a seriously sexy strip show during Sharon’s (Sharon Case) upcoming bachelorette party! But what exactly can viewers expect when he hits the scene? Soap Opera Network caught up with the dancer, who bared all in an interview regarding his time in Genoa City.

As previously reported, “The Young and the Restless'” Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are heading down the aisle one more time, but before the happy occasion can take place, they along with several of their closest friends and family members are heading to lockup! Set to air on Tuesday, September 30, CBS has released a first look clip of the pre-celebration of the joining of the high school sweethearts, who are determined to put the past behind them and face the future together once more.

Just as Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) get ready to head down the aisle one more time, cast members from CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” took time out of their busy schedule to pose for their mug shots in a hilarious photo gallery posted on Entertainment Tonight‘s website. If you thought it was all for laughs, however, think again!

It’s been almost eight months since “The Young and the Restless’” Adam Newman was declared dead following a horrific showdown and subsequent car crash with Billy Abbott. And since most of the town believed he’d perished in the fiery accident, they’ll be getting quite a shock when the very-much-alive CEO — now played by former “Passions” star Justin Hartley — makes a surprise return to Genoa City, which Soap Opera Network has exclusively learned will take place on Wednesday, November 5!

With summer almost (officially) over and fall right upon us, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” is gearing up for one sexy, fun and exciting season of juicy television. In a newly released promo, aired at the conclusion of today’s episode, highlighting all the goings on in Genoa City, viewers better get ready for several twists and turns in ongoing stories and the beginnings of new story arcs.

On “The Young and the Restless,” Ian Ward (Ray Wise) has kidnapped Mariah (Camryn Grimes), who was just revealed to be Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) biological daughter after months of will they [the writers] or won’t they, and Sharon is none too pleased with the “sociopath.” She demands that he give her back her daughter, while Ian informs her that the clock is ticking. Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is dangling with bottle issues as she ponders how much more a woman can take without breaking into a million pieces, or taking a drink in this case. Will this latest drama push Nikki over the edge? Tune into CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” next week to find out!
