Best known as the runner-up in the season three finale of The CW’s “America’s Next Top Model,” and her contract role as Cassandra Foster on ABC’s “All My Children,” TVLine is reporting that Yaya DaCosta has landed the coveted role of Whitney Houston in Lifetime’s upcoming biopic, aptly titled “Whitney Houston,” which chronicles Houston’s headline-making relationship between the iconic singer, actress, producer and model, and singer, songwriter Bobby Brown — from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity, to their courtship and tumultuous marriage.

Fans who’ve attended the “General Hospital” fan club weekend over the years have had the pleasure of experiencing music by former “GH” star Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer) and his Enation band. Surprisingly enough, the band, which includes Jackson’s real-life brother, Richard Lee, and Daniel Sweatt, have yet to perform in front of a national audience. That will soon change when they perform their new single, “Everything Is Possible,” from their upcoming fall 2014 album, on ABC’s “The View” and the syndicated/online talk show, “The Better Show,” co-hosted by former “All My Children” actress Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee Smythe).

While the series isn’t scheduled to premiere until Saturday, June 7 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on Starz, the network has released the first five minutes of “Power” on Twitter via the social service’s new in-line video feature that enables one-touch playback. The new video experience is based on Twitter Cards, which extends user interactions beyond favoriting, retweeting and replying and makes it possible for people to do things like watch videos, download apps, or view articles and photos –– all from within a Tweet.

Having catapulted to the number one spot in the 18-49 demo and experienced double digit improvement in many time slots, NBC has announced its upcoming fall 2014-2015 primetime schedule. The network is introducing a portfolio of new content that will be joining veteran shows “About a Boy,” “The Blacklist,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Grimm,” “Hannibal,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Parenthood,” “Parks and Recreation,” “America Ninja Warrior,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Celebrity Apprentice,” “Hollywood Game Night” and “The Voice.”
