The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences addresses the latest controversy over not releasing actor submission reels for “The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”
Patrika Darbo issues statement in response to the controversy surrounding The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences rescinding her Daytime Emmy Award for her work on “The Bay.”
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has revoked Patrika Darbo’s win in the category of Guest Performer in a Digital Daytime Drama Series after an investigation found violation errors in her submission. The organization also decided to forgo a winner after finding additional violations with other nominees in the category.

Thursday, December 4 at 3:00 PM, ET/12:00 PM, PT, marks the beginning of Chapter 13 of “The Bay: The Series,” the much beloved web series created by Gregori J. Martin. With episodes set to run 20-22 minutes each all throughout the month of December, fans will be able to follow the drama online and through social media using the hashtags #Bayhem and #DecemberBayhem, in addition to the #TheBay. Following the conclusion of Chapter 13, Chapter 14 will debut in mid December.
Michael Bruno, who manages several daytime soap stars past and present, including Amelia Heinle, who portrays Victoria Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” appeared on the Thursday, May 29 edition of the Lilly Melgar (“General Hospital,” “The Bay”) and Martha Madison (“Days of our Lives,” “The Bay”) hosted radio show “Soap Box with Lilly and Martha” to discuss several soap related topics. One of which was the recent news of David Tom being let go from “Y&R” as Billy Abbott and being replaced by daytime newcomer Burgess Jenkins.
Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that veteran soap stars Ronn Moss, Sean Kanan, Judi Evans and Patrika Darbo have joined the cast of LANY Entertainment’s “The Bay: The Series,” which premieres Chapter 12 on Thursday, May 1 with episodes running a bit longer in length than they had in prior chapters (episodes will now run between 17-20 minutes, typical for a weekly 1/2 hour series excluding commercials).
