As previously reported, “Criminal Minds” star Shemar Moore is returning to CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” on Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11, to once again portray his iconic role of Malcolm Winters on the daytime drama series. In a newly released promo set to the song “More, More, More” by Clooney, the network is getting fans pumped with shots of Moore on a studio lot in between filming takes (not “Y&R”) and generally being his oh, so sexy self. No storyline details were revealed, however.

They say home is where the heart is, and it’s a saying that members of “The Young and the Restless’” Winters family take literally. Not only have brothers Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Malcolm (Shemar Moore) shared Drucilla (Victoria Rowell), Alex (Alexia Robinson), Sofia (Julia Pace Mitchell) and Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) in some way or another, Neil’s adopted son, Devon (Bryton James), has followed in the family tradition: He and Neil’s wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan), are secretly in love with each other! Add into the mix Neil’s recent blindness, his past with alcoholism and a flash return visit by his brother, Malcolm, and you’ve got one heck of a mess that’s sure to make “Y&R’s” Fall Sweeps a can’t-miss event! Soap Opera Network met up with St. John to get the scoop on the juicy drama ahead, and he reveals that what you’re seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg!

In 2012, Soap Opera Network published our own version of the annual TV Guide Magazine “TV’s Highest Paid Stars” issue. In the time since it was published we’ve been quite shocked to see how many of you were curious to know how much some of daytime and primetime’s biggest and brightest stars of yesteryear have gone on to make with their current work in primetime dramas and comedies, reality shows, and even daytime talk shows. Although we were unable to continue our report in 2013 due to circumstances beyond our control, we thought it would be a great opportunity to continue producing the soap opera edition of one of TV Guide’s best selling issues with the release of the 2014 edition.

There’s a family affair going on over in “The Young and the Restless’” Genoa City, but it isn’t of the picnic variety: Neil (Kristoff St. John) has no idea that his wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan), and his adopted son, Devon (Bryton James), are in love with each other! Warner Bros. next animated movie will be “Justice League: War,” and former “The Young and the Restless” star Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters) is going to be in it!

When it comes to titles, “The Young and Restless’” Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) is no stranger. He’s been called a heartthrob, an Emmy nominee, an Emmy winner, and even the “Denzel of Daytime.” The latter of which actually makes the New York native kind of blush! “That’s just a moniker for having staying power and lasting power in this medium,” he says with modesty of the Denzel Washington comparison. “I’m one of the longest running African American males on daytime, so I think that statement is more in honor of that.”

On Tuesday, March 26, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” will celebrate its 40th anniversary and in honor of the event, stars from the daytime drama series will be popping up on multiple CBS Daytime programs.

As previously reported, Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman Abbott), Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) will appear on the Monday, March 25 celebratory edition of “The Talk.”
