ABC has renewed dramas “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Castle,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Resurrection,” “Revenge” and “Scandal,” while also picking up comedies “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle,” and “Modern Family” for the 2014-2015 television season. The network has yet to decide the fates of drama “Nashville” and comedy “Last Man Standing,” although the likelihood of both series returning remains strong.

According to TV Guide’s Michael Logan, Rena Sofer (ex-Lois Cerullo, “General Hospital”) is joining the cast of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Quinn Fuller, the mother of Darin Brooks’ Wyatt Fuller. “Not a lot of deets yet, except that Mama is as mysterious as Sonny Boy and both have secrets that will rock the soap,” the publication reported.

ABC formally announced its new lineup of shows on Tuesday at an upfront presentation held at New York City’s Avery Fisher Hall, and Paul Lee, the ABC Entertainment Group president, called series like the network’s new Steven Spielberg-produced drama, “Lucky 7,” soaps! ABC has announced its new fall primetime schedule which includes the trimming of “Dancing with the Stars” from two nights to just one (now only on Mondays) with “Castle” remaining in its slot for the fifth year running. Tuesday nights finds the introduction of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” a spin-off series from the “Avengers” film franchise, followed by new comedies “The Goldbergs” and “Trophy Wife.” New drama “Lucky 7” replaces “Body of Proof,” which was canceled.

After months of anticipation, the day has finally arrived for the returns of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” Both soaps premiered today with brand new episodes via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes. As previously reported, the two soaps have been getting some love from Hulu starting with an email campaign on Friday and a weekend trip on the Hulu bar, which highlights several recent episodes of popular series airing on Hulu. Today, Hulu gave each series their own spot on the bar with positions #1 and #2, ahead of such staples as ABC’s “Revenge” and “Once Upon A Time” or FOX’s “Family Guy” and “American Dad.”

On Friday, July 27, we reported that CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” would be holding a Paley Center for Media panel as the daytime soap gears up to celebrate its 10,000th show. We are also happy to report that “Husbands,” an online series following the lives of a young same-sex couple through all their trials and tribulations will make history as the first online series to be hosted by The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California.
