As previously reported, cast members of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will once again take part in a special “Day of DAYS” fan event scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8 at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood. This year the celebration takes place on the actual 49th anniversary of the daytime drama series, making it all the more special for fans looking to see their favorite Salemites in person. As always, the event is free and will begin at 10:00 AM with a “Day of DAYS” welcome party with cast introductions, followed by autograph signings, a cast Q&A session, photo booth fun for fans and much more.  The day will culminate with a preview of an upcoming episode of the drama series immediately following the cast Q&A.

Rumors have been swirling that “Days of our Lives’” star John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis) is ready to retire from the sudser, but it seems fans can rest easy, as the actor himself has addressed whether he’ll stay or whether he’ll go!

The rest of the country may have been preparing for Thanksgiving by sending out dinner invites, planning menus, buying turkeys, selecting table settings and betting on the day’s big game, but Soap Opera Network has been getting ready for the celebratory day in a different way: Reaching out to several of your favorite “Days of our Lives” stars and getting the scoop on what they’re most thankful for! Read on for their answers and then join in on the fun by leaving a comment below telling us what you’re most grateful for this holiday season!

When Ted Corday and Betty Corday watched “Days of our Lives’” NBC debut on November 8, 1965, they couldn’t have known that the soap opera they created would garner so much success. Now, 48 years later, the show not only is coming off of an Outstanding Drama Series win from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, it’s comprised of a talented and close-knit cast who all have very special memories regarding their time with the popular show. Soap Opera Network spoke with a few said castmembers, and in celebration of the show’s 48th anniversary, they were all too happy to share some of their favorite moments from the early days and beyond!

“Days Of Our Lives’” Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne Milbauer) has had an impressive 25-year acting career, appearing in popular shows like “Weeds,” “American Horror Story,” and “Desperate Housewives,” as well as in the film “Legally Blonde.” But Anne is perhaps one of the most fun characters she’s ever played, simply because, as the actress puts it: “She’s such an extreme bitch!”

NBC’s “Days of our Lives” is continuing its nationwide fan event tour this February when cast members of the series gather throughout Universal Orlando Restort in Florida, including a meet and greet with fans at the parks Universal CityWalk. Cast members scheduled to attend are John Aniston, Camila Banus, Shawn Christian, Casey Deidrick, Galen Gering, Kate Mansi, Eric Martsolf, Peggy McCay, James Scott and Arianne Zucker. The event will be held on Saturday, February 23.

Although Soap Opera Digest has since “confirmed” their story on the ouster of several “Days of our Lives” stars with a show representative, according to its website, one actress appears to not have been told as the magazine stated. In fact, it looks like if the firings do hold, actress Sarah Brown (Madison James) has not been told by her bossess of any change to her status with the NBC daytime soap.

Best known for her portrayal of Carly Corinthos and later Claudia Zacchara on ABC’s “General Hospital,” Sarah Brown is returning to daytime for another go after being dropped to recurring status earlier this year by CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” where she portrayed Agnes ‘Aggie’ Jones. The three-time Emmy Award winning actress has signed with NBC’s “Days of our Lives” to play the contract role of Madison James beginning Tuesday, October 4.
