Telling fans that she is “pleased” to join the upcoming online version of the show when production begins “near the middle of March,” the six-time Daytime Emmy winner says the new show will be “an exciting and groundbreaking adventure” and that she hopes fans will tune in.

“One Life to Live” fans have reason to celebrate today as a handful of the show’s current cast members, including six-time Daytime Emmy winner Erika Slezak (Viki) have already agreed to make the transition with the show from ABC to online-only distribution with Prospect Park. According to Deadline Hollywood the company, which leased the rights to “OLTL” and sister soap “All My Children” in July, Slezak, along with Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John), and Ted King (Tomas) will all be remaining with the show after it airs its final ABC episode early next year.

On Thursday, June 23, “Days of our Lives” fans finally got their first glimpse of actor Freddie Smith and his character Sonny Kiriakis, despite the NBC drama series keeping mum on the actors casting for more than two months. On Sunday, June 19, on the red carpet at the “38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” Smith opened up about what it was like keeping such a big secret, portraying the shows first gay character and whether or not his character will be hooking up with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) as rumored.
