As previously reported, former “All My Children” star Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) is joining the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” as a recast Ben Rogers. The actor replaces Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman). Gaston was let go after his 13-week contract cycle was not picked up.

Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC’s “General Hospital” will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

Congratulations are in order for Bradford Anderson (ex-Damian Spinelli, “General Hospital”) and wife, Kiera, as the couple welcomed their newest bundle of joy on Friday, May 2, just one day after learning Anderson had received his fifth Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

“It’s the true-life story of young, single women screwing up, falling down, causing a scene, making a mess — and living to tell the tale.” No, that is not the description of “Girls,” the HBO comedy series created by and starring Lena Dunham. It is actually the basis of “Hot Mess,” a web series where seven actresses reenactment real-life situations that at times leaves viewers questioning how one could have ever let something like that happen , but ultimately glad it never happened to them.

As previously reported, Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers, “The Young and the Restless”) has joined the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” as the not so comatose Nina Clay, Silas’ (Michael Easton) until recently thought to be dead wife. With ABC promising fans that the truth surrounding Nina’s mysterious circumstances will reveal itself in the weeks and months to come, as her tangled web of family history starts to unravel, the network is providing viewers with a snippet of Stafford’s debut in case they missed it when it aired on Thursday, May 1.

Just one day after NBC’s “Days of our Lives” received the good news from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that it was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, among its 14 total nominations, for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, comes word that the daytime soap is saying goodbye to one of its leading men. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that James Scott (EJ DiMera) completes filming at The Burbank Studios today, May 2, after an eight year run with the show.

Shortly after Elizabeth Hendrickson announced that she was leaving the role of “The Young and the Restless’” Chloe Mitchell, Soap Opera Network had the chance of speaking with the actress about departing the role she’s played for the last six years. In Part One of our Center Stage interview with the New York native, who was just nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in this year’s Emmy race, she discussed why she chose to walk away from daytime as well as her hopes for her future career. But that’s not all the actress divulged during our in-depth chat! In Part Two of our Center Stage interview with Hendrickson, she opens up about Chloe’s final days, her wish for the character and fans, as well as her hesitation about saying goodbye to “Y&R!”

When Bradford Anderson woke up this morning he didn’t immediately know that he had received his fifth Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Damian Spinelli on ABC’s “General Hospital.” How is that even possible, you ask? “I sleep with my phone off,” the actor admits. “That’s the fun thing about being on the west coast. You generally wake up to the news.” He adds, “Just turning on my phone and seeing how many emails and texts I get is generally an indication of a ‘yay’ or a ‘nay.'”

She departed CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” last year with her character Phyllis Summers in a coma, and now Michelle Stafford has returned to daytime with a new role on “General Hospital” as the comatose Nina Clay. An ironic character choice for sure, but ABC promises fans that the truth surrounding Nina’s mysterious circumstances will reveal itself in the weeks and months to come, as her tangled web of family history starts to unravel. But until then fans are left wondering how the show managed to keep such a reveal so secret and how it all actually came together.
