Just one day after revealing he would be returning to ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” for its 19th season as a pro dancer on “Good Morning America,” the network announced that Derek Hough will also be joining the cast of “Nashville” for a multi-episode story arc. Hough will portray Noah West, a beguiling and disarming movie star who crosses paths with the Nashville elite following his being cast as the lead in a biopic of a famous country music star.

Despite allegations of inappropriate behavior against one of his co-workers, which is said to have led to his firing from CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” last December, Michael Muhney revealed earlier this evening that he was this close to returning to the daytime drama series to reprise his role of Adam Newman.

With the new television season kicking off in just a few weeks, ABC stations that signed up to air the no longer in production daytime talker “Katie” in 2012, following ABC’s decision to secede the 3:00 PM ET/2:00 PM PT network time slot to their affiliates in hopes that most of them would choose to pick up the talk show, has resulted in some of those stations deciding to move the network’s “General Hospital” back to where it aired for more than 25 of its 51+ year run, it was confirmed today by ABC.

With NBC’s “Days of our Lives” currently filming 4-5 months ahead of airdate, one has to wonder how the daytime drama series manages to keep storyline and casting secrets under wraps before the world begins chattering. Well one such secret is finally out of the bag. The drama series has cast daytime newcomer Billy Flynn in the contract role of Chad DiMera, who was previously portrayed by Casey Deidrick.
