Comings & Goings

Warner Bros. Animation is developing a new TV series adaptation of “Dark Shadows,” based on the classic gothic soap opera and the father of the modern-day vampire, Barnabas Collins.

Before “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Lisa Rinna was best known for her portrayal as Billie Reed on NBC’s “Days of our Lives.” Nearly five years since she last appeared on the soap, the actress is heading back to Salem for another go. Will it be Billie vs. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) 4.0, or will something else capture the character’s attention?

If you tuned into the Friday, August 25 episode of “Days of our Lives,” you discovered that Anjelica Deveraux had met her maker, marking the conclusion of portrayer Morgan Fairchild’s short run on the daytime soap.

In an allegedly since deleted posting on Vimeo, actor Kyler Pettis is said to have revealed his “final scenes” as Theo Carver on NBC’s “Days of our Lives.” This might come as a shock to fans as there had been no indication that the show planned to write the character off the canvas, albeit the show does film six months ahead of air.

A veteran of daytime soaps, actress Alla Korot (ex-Allie Doyle, “All My Children”; ex-Jenna Norris, ” Another World”) is heading to “General Hospital,” confirms an ABC representative. Character details and when she’ll first air were not made available, however.

More than a month since filming what was expected to be his final scenes as Julian Jerome on ABC’s “General Hospital,” following the two sides hitting an impasse during contract negotiations, actor William deVry and the daytime drama series have finally reached a deal that will keep the fan favorite on the soap opera for the foreseeable future.

While we don’t expect him to be donning his Magic Milo attire any time soon, actor Drew Cheetwood recently announced that he’ll soon re-appear on ABC’s “General Hospital” as Sonny’s long-time bodyguard, Milo Giambetti.
