Netflix has given a green light to a second season of “Friends From College,” starring “As The World Turns” alum Annie Parisse. As was the case with the first season, the streaming service has ordered eight episodes of the half-hour comedy.

In an allegedly since deleted posting on Vimeo, actor Kyler Pettis is said to have revealed his “final scenes” as Theo Carver on NBC’s “Days of our Lives.” This might come as a shock to fans as there had been no indication that the show planned to write the character off the canvas, albeit the show does film six months ahead of air.

Following in the footsteps of daytime alums Lauren B. Martin (ex-Camille Bennett, “As The World Turns”), Monti Sharp (ex-Lewis McCloud, “ATWT”; ex-David Grant, “Guiding Light”) and Kim Brockington (Felicia Boudreau, “GL”), “Pride: The Series” creator and actor Dorell Anthony (“All My Children,” “General Hospital”) has joined the cast of “Asunder,” producers of the upcoming digital series announced recently.

The Young and the Restless

For those planning to attend “The Young and the Restless'” Fan Event on Saturday, August 19, you’ll not only get the chance to meet your favorite stars from the top rated daytime drama series, you’ll also be able to ensure those less fortunate can start the new school year on the right track.

For the first time in 38 years, America will experience a total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. In anticipation of the historic event, the broadcast networks, or in some instances, a number of their affiliated stations, will pre-empt regularly scheduled programming for live coverage.
