“One Life to Live’s'” Patricia Elliott has died at the age of 77. The actress, who portrayed Renee Divine on the former ABC Daytime drama series passed away on Sunday, December 20 in her Manhattan home after a battle with cancer, reports her niece, Sally Fay.
Best known for roles on “All My Children” and “Another World,” actress Alla Korot is set to begin filming at NBC’s “Days of our Lives” next month in the newly created role of Janet Bernard, Korot announced on her Twitter page over the weekend. A first airdate is not yet known but fans can expect for the actress to hit the screen sometime in June.
With hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who were around to promote their new movie “Sisters,” last night’s final 2015 episode of “Saturday Night Live” featured a daytime drama wrap up presented by Somebody’s Mom, Deenie (played by Kate McKinnon) during the popular “Weekend Update” segment. Hilarity ensued as Deenie recapped 2015 on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” with such character descriptions as mustache man, big boobs, sexpot, priss pants, red head, and perfect skin, among others, as a way to describe Genoa City’s most prominent citizens.

As a result of President Barack Obama addressing the nation for his last press conference of 2015, ABC was forced to pull an original episode of “General Hospital” today, which was all but set to air until Nathan Varni, Manager, Current Series, Scripted, announced plans to pull it citing the importance of the current storyline. The episode will now air on Monday, December 21 and an original episode will air on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24) in place of a previously scheduled encore.
Chloe Lane is heading back to Salem full-time now that actress Nadia Bjorlin has signed a contract with NBC’s “Days of our Lives.” Bjorlin, who had been spotted on numerous occasions touring with cast members as part of the “Days of our Lives: 50 Years” book tour, began filming scenes last week. The actress previously signed on for a short return engagement in the fall that’ll air sometime in early 2016. She’ll return in a full-time capacity in late Spring.
