“It all came down to residuals,” the website quoted an insider as saying. “Prospect Park hopes to air the episodes of ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ on cable and in other countries, after their initial online airings. The WGA couldn’t afford to make a deal that didn’t include residuals for the writers.”

A rep for the WGA has confirmed the news exclusively to Soap Opera Network. “We can confirm there is an agrement between the WGA and Prospect Park,” the rep said.

With the WGA now joining SAG-AFTRA and the DGA, Prospect Park can move forward with production of “AMC” and “OLTL” sometime next month, as planned.
