(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” appears to be returning to its core values by bringing both of Viki (Erika Slezak) and Clint’s (Jerry verDorn) sons back to Llanview just in time for the holidays.

As SON first told you a couple of weeks ago, Dan Gauthier is set to reprise the role of the eldest Buchanan brother Kevin in the coming weeks. Look for his scenes to air beginning Thursday, November 18. And, while the length Gauthier’s latest stint on “OLTL” is unknown, it is rumored to be short-term.

And, nearly a month after “One Life to Live” released a casting call for contract role of Kevin’s little brother Joey (who was last played by “Castle” star Nathan Fillion), the soap has tapped daytime newcomer Josh Kelly for the role. Kelly’s acting credits include appearances on “NCIS,” “Ugly Betty,” “CSI: Miami,” and “Flash Forward.” The twenty-eight-old is also an Army veteran, and has served three tours of duty in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.

According to Soap Opera Digest, “One Life” initially considered familiar soap stars like Austin Peck and Brody Hutzler for the part, before decided to go in a new direction with their search. Expect Kelly to first air as Joey just in time for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 24.

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
