Photo: Steve Fenn/ABC Tuesday, August 25, 2009 5:30 PM ET | By Angela Rosa (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Baby Stuart’s biological mother has been cast on “All My Children.”  The Pine Valley Bulletin is reporting that Sofia Black-D’Elia has been cast in the role of Bailey on ABC’s “All My Children.” The actress is a 17-year old model; her character, Bailey, is the biological mother of Liza Colby’s (Jamie Luner) son, Stuart. Ms. Colby may have to refocus her energy because according to “AMC” headwriter Charles Pratt, the young mother will come to Pine Valley with a strong desire to reclaim the child she gave birth to. Look for Black-D’Elia to debut in the role of Bailey on Friday, October 2.   “All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings. Monday, August 24, 2009 11:16 PM ET | By Scotty Gore (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live’s” longest running cast member announces that she has signed a new contract with the show to keep Viki in Llanview for the foreseeable future. Erika Slezak has revealed the news to fans on her official website that “I am very happy to be remaining with ‘One Life to Live’ for the next few years – and am looking forward to good stories and lots of fun.” The actress, who joined “OLTL” on March 17, 1971, portrays the 41-year-old soap’s sole surviving original character Victoria ‘Viki’ Lord. The six time Daytime Emmy winner is the third actress to play the role, which was originated by Gillian Spencer in 1968 (Spencer left the show in 1970, and was replaced for six months by Joanne Dorian). David later finds JR and Marissa enjoying themselves at the Yacht Club and assumes JR’s been drinking. David makes a deal with Marissa, saying he’ll release her from the hospital if she agrees to stay with him at Wildwind. After leaving Scott to look after Marissa, a shaky JR heads to the hospital and promptly collapses. Ryan’s alarmed to find Jesse at Zach’s. Monday, August 24, 2009 4:59 PM ET | By Scotty Gore (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Dan Gauthier will reprise the role as Kevin Buchanan on “One Life to Live” briefly this fall.  From 2003-2006, Gauthier portrayed Viki and Clint’s eldest son Kevin (nicknamed ‘Kevin Eleven’ by the soap’s producers, to indicate the number of times the role has been recast over the years), before receiving his walking papers from the sudser.  However, he would briefly return for two episodes in August of 2007, in celebration of “One Life to Live’s” 10,000th episode.   No word yet on either Gauthier’s first airdate, or exactly how long he his stint will last.  It also remains to be seen if Kevin will be returning to Llanview alone, or if he will be bringing someone back with him.  “One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. For nearly 20 years, David could be found behind the CNBC anchor desk between 1989 and 2008. During his stint at The Consumer News and Business Channel, he could also be heard on CNBC radio and seen providing stock market updates on MSNBC and as a weekend anchor on WNBC-TV in New York City.
