All Things About

Jordi Vilasuso

After portraying Griffin Castillo on “All My Children” and Tony Santos on “Guiding Light,” actor Jordi Vilasuso decided the timing was right for another turn in daytime. Lucky for him, “Days of our Lives” was looking to expand the Hernandez clan with the return of Dario (last played by Francisco San Martin). After meeting with executive producer Ken Corday, co-executive producer Albert Alaar and co-head writer Josh Griffith last summer, Vilasuso responded well to the idea of portraying a “very intelligent” character on the soap.

As we previously reported, Paos Revolution, the production company headed by “All My Children’s” Jordi Vilasuso (Griffin Castillo), has begun production on a new web series called ‘Perfect Day,” and while both the company and Vilasuso himself are in high gear prepping for the show’s launch, there’s a way for you to help make the dream come true!

A character proclaims, “Pine Valley lost a part of its soul that night, but today the sun shines bright.” That day in particular is Monday, April 29, when “All My Children” premieres with all new episodes via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes with Pine Valley’s citizens having picked things up five years after that traumatic night Adam Chandler (David Canary) and Brooke English (Julia Barr) celebrated their engagement and a shot went off. Fans will quickly be able to jump right back into the soap where “cute, sexy, action and adventure, romance and sex” may be a simple way to summarize the storytelling on any given daytime soap, but on “AMC” things are just all the better.

On April 14, 2011, ABC sent shock-waves throughout the daytime industry when it announced it had decided to cancel “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” Now two years to the day since that announcement, both soaps are in the process of not only returning to television but also to the world wide web courtesy of Prospect Park.

As the old saying goes, a happy employee is a productive employee. And that must be a mantra Prospect Park believes in. According to the actors who have signed on to the serial dramas, “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” the production company — headed by Jeff Kwatinetz and Richard Frank — has batted a thousand when it comes to being respectfully in charge. And the end result, as the performers preview, is pure magic.

Prospect Park has asked “All My Children” cast members to keep a lid on details regarding the new Pine Valley — but did you really think they’d be able to keep quiet about everything for long? Heck no! There’s plenty of behind-the-scenes buzz flying around Facebook and Twitter, and from what we can tell, AMC 2.0 is going to rock your world!

First of all, there’s a rumor going around that we may — just may — catch a glimpse of Dr. David Hayward’s yummy tush. If your heart is pumping a little faster over that bit of delicious news, he’ll no doubt be glad (he is a cardiologist, after all)! Could we also be privy to seeing Pine Valley’s other sexy doc, Griffin, in the nude? “I don’t know!” tweets portrayer Jordi Vilasuso. “I’ve heard things, but I haven’t been asked for the Full Monty.”
