On Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4, the citizens of Genoa City will gather at the park at Lake Delaney on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” as they celebrate the life of Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), who Jill Abbott Fenmore (Jess Walton) says in the exclusive clip below, “wanted a party instead of a funeral.”
According to Daniel Goddard, the citizens of Genoa City will mourn the loss of Katherine Chancellor in episodes scheduled to air on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4 of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” Goddard, who portrays Cane Ashby on the daytime drama series, noted on his Facebook page that the episodes were filmed on Tuesday. He posted, “Huge day on set today just got home have to be back in 10 hours. How was ur day?” after completing filming.

Il Volo, the Italian Opera trio, have been confirmed to perform their hit song “Mas Que Amor” during the “In Memoriam” tribute of the “40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards,” which will be introduced by “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Hunter King (Summer Newman), Jess Walton (Jill Foster) and Corbin Bernsen, the son of the late Jeanne Cooper. The tribute is scheduled to honor the legendary actress who died last month.
