Beginning Tuesday, April 1 and continuing through Thursday, April 3, NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will present daytime’s first gay male wedding as Will Horton (Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) exchange wedding vows in front of friends and family. In honor of the special event, the soap has released a video preview of the wedding, which shows both grooms being walked down the aisle by their loving mothers – Will is walked down the aisle by Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Sonny is walked down by Adrienne (Judi Evans) – while their father’s proudly look on. The wedding will be presided over by Will’s grandmother, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

It’s been one month since Guy Wilson debuted as “Days of our Lives’” Will Horton, and he has quickly ingratiated himself into the town of Salem. In fact, shortly after debuting as Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) son, he’s already found himself on the way to a fictional altar with Sonny (Freddie Smith)! As the onscreen pair prepares to eventually walk down the aisle and become a married couple, Soap Opera Network caught up with Wilson to get his take on why he landed the role, how he was able to bond with Smith so quickly and what kind of obstacles the popular and influential onscreen pairing will face as they prepare for marriage!

This morning GLAAD announced the nominees for the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards, which honors media that was published, released or broadcast between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013. NBC’s “Days of our Lives” was once again nominated for Outstanding Daily Drama. Incidentally, as the series was the only nominee, a GLAAD representative confirms that the series is the de facto award recipient. Last year, “DAYS” battled and won against CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Ever since the news broke last September that Guy Wilson would be replacing Chandler Massey as “Days of our Lives” beloved character, Will Horton, many fans have been chomping at the bit to see the actor’s take on the important role. Well, the wait is finally over, as Wilson made his debut as Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) son today!

On today’s episode of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” Chandler Massey says goodbye to his multi-Daytime Emmy Award winning role of Will Horton. As previously reported, Massey planned to depart the daytime drama series when his contract was set to expire in December 2013, but show producers opted instead to replace the actor upon his completion of his filming of scenes in August of last year, citing the exit as being storyline dictated. Daytime newcomer Guy Wilson took over the role when he began filming scenes in September. He begins airing on Wednesday, January 8.

Gabi (Camila Banus) sure can’t help herself when it comes to discussing her part, along with Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Kate (Lauren Koslow), in the murder of Nick (Blake Berris). This week, Sonny (Freddie Smith) overhears more than he expected when Gabi reveals all on NBC’s “Days of our Lives.” Will he turn Will’s (Chandler Massey) baby mama in? You”ll have to tune in to find out!
