The success of its breakout drama series, “Gotham,” has led FOX to extend the series’ run with an order of six new episodes!

Dana Walden and Gary Newman, chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group, announced yesterday that they’ve decided to pick up six more episodes of the drama, bringing it to a full 22-episode season. “’Gotham’ debuted as one of the most buzzed-about shows of the fall, and with good reason. Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon have created an incredibly rich world, with characters that draw you in and a cast that brings to life these heroes and villains in a way we’ve never seen before,” said the execs via an official press release. “We are so excited to see where Bruno, Danny and the entire ‘Gotham’ team take this story over the course of this season, and so thankful to all the fans who have embraced it this fall.”

Last week fans had some hope that Peter Reckell might be returning to NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in the coming months as his character Bo Brady after the actor tweeted, “With luck I’ll have some answers by next week. I’ll let u know what’s happening as soon as I know. Thanks 4 your patience and understanding.” Since then Reckell has clarified his comments with insight on what was not a factor in his deciding to leave the drama series two years ago, while emphasizing the importance of family.

With Elizabeth Hendrickson returning as Chloe Mitchell on today’s episode of “The Young and the Restless” in remembrance of the one year anniversary of the death of her daughter, Delia Abbott, it’s only appropriate that the stars from daytime’s most watched drama series take part in a live tweet during the show to talk about the emotional scenes they filmed and what the storyline has meant for them overall. Hendrickson, Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman) and Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) plan to do just that!

A deafening shot rang out on Friday’s episode of “Days of our Lives,” but the piercing blast wasn’t able to drown out cries from fans who realized that the bullet probably spelled the end of EJ (James Scott). And once the howling began — onscreen and off — it built into a frenzy leading up to the character’s final moments in Salem, which played out on today’s episode. But just how powerful were the scenes, which seemingly put the nail in the coffin for the relationship between EJ and Sami (Alison Sweeney), as well? And was the story the best way for Scott’s alter ego to be written off the canvas?

If you tuned into today’s episode of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” you likely saw the “Next On…” segment, which highlights what’s happening on the next episode of the daytime drama series, and you probably thought you were seeing things when a clip of Elizabeth Hendrickson appearing as Chloe Mitchell was shown. No, you’re not going crazy!

Daniel Jonas’ journey on “Days of our Lives” has taken portrayer Shawn Christian on a plethora of adventures, many of which have included top talent from the drama series. But of all the storylines the devilishly handsome doc has played out, fans seem to have gravitated toward the cat-and-mouse game Daniel and Kristen (Eileen Davidson) have been involved in over the past couple of months the most. And Soap Opera Network has good news for fans: The delicious drama is far from being over, and Christian has shared some of the juicy details of the story below!

Former “All My Children” star Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) has kept himself very busy as a correspondent for “Extra” and designing a line of children’s clothing with wife, Vanessa, but that hasn’t kept the Canadian away from acting. In fact, he’ll be appearing in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film, “Along Came a Nanny,” which premieres this weekend!
