With the character first teased in September as the possible son of Dr. Marlena Evans and the late Stefano DiMera on “Days of our Lives,” the long-running daytime drama series made it official on the Tuesday, October 20 episode, revealing Marlena’s (played by Deidre Hall) name on a birth certificate belonging to Dominic Marino, naming her as his mother.
While the mechanisms by which Marlena may have mothered a child with Stefano remain under wraps, the soap has cast actor Kyle Pryor, a veteran of Australian and British soaps including “Home and Away,” “Hollyoaks,” and “Emmerdale,” as Dominic.
Though today’s episode showed a photo of the character with Pryor’s face after Dante Vitali (Franco Lo Presti) showed Marlena a photo of Dominic, Pryor won’t make his first physical appearance on the show until the Monday, November 2 episode. He began taping at the soap in late 2025.
In addition to Pryor, fans can also look forward to the returns of fan favorites Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley, who portray Tony and Anna DiMera, respectively, as the series celebrates its 61st anniversary following Dominic’s arrival, with two special episodes set to air on Friday, November 6 and Monday, November 9 — the drama premiered on November 8, 1965.
Co-star Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis) welcomed Pryor to the show’s cast, resharing a post from Pryor’s own Instagram.
In addition to his prior soap opera experience, Pryor made his major television acting debut in 2010, appearing in an episode of the STARZ drama “Spartacus,” which starred fellow Australian actor Daniel Feuerriegel, who, since 2021, has played EJ DiMera on “Days of our Lives.” Other credits for Pryor include “Legend of the Seeker,” “Auckland Daze,” “Nothing Trivial,” “The Blue Rose,” “Funny Woman,” “Professor T,” and most recently starring opposite Maria Menounos in the holiday movie “Christmas at Plumhill Manor.”
Photos of Pryor as Dominic on “Days of our Lives” were shared by Deadline, which first reported his casting.
