As announced last year, the Daytime Emmys ceremony will continue to take place in October, with this year’s ceremony scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, in Hollywood, CA, though a venue has not formally been announced, nor whether it will be broadcast on a television network after last year’s ceremony was streamed via watch.theemmys.tv and its associated apps.
Some of the changes this year include the Guest Performer in a Daytime Drama Series category being subject to a maximum of 19% of episodes aired/streamed during the first eligibility period (calendar year 2025), with performers appearing on more episodes than that eligible only in Leading, Supporting, or Emerging Talent categories. Meanwhile, the Drama Writing and Drama Directing categories are described as team-based, with eligibility determined by 19% participation. However, if either of the episodes submitted in these categories is written/directed by an individual who does not meet the 19% threshold, a waiver must be submitted.
