THE NUMBERS

One week after hitting season highs in both Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating, “Days of our Lives” fell slightly in both demographics. The soap did, however, manage to hit a season high in Total Viewers with an average of 1.716 million viewers tuning in during the week of November 29-December 3, 2021. That was an increase of +22,000 viewers compared to last week. In fact, the soap was up over its year ago performance in Total Viewers (+32,000), marking the first time since mid-October the soap has outperformed its numbers compared to the same week last year.

The Young and the Restless” and both half hours of “The Price is Right” hit season lows in both Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating. In Total Viewers, the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” reached a season low with just 4.297 million viewers tuning in while “Y&R” hit a season low with just 3.409 million viewers. The previous low for the soap was during the week of November 1-5, 2021 when just 3.414 million viewers were watching what was happening in Genoa City. “Y&R” remains on the plus side compared to the same week last year in Total Viewers (+236,000) and in Households (+0.1).

Hitting a season low one week earlier in Women 25-54 rating, “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up slightly in the demo (+0.01). Compared to the same week last year, “B&B” was also up +183,000 viewers with 2.870 million viewers tuned in this year. The soap was also up in Households (+0.1) compared to last year.

Up slightly in Women 18-49 compared to its performance one week earlier (+0.01; 0.34 rating), “General Hospital” saw its first year to year loss so far this season in Total Viewers. The soap was down -109,000 viewers compared to its year ago performance.

For the second week in a row, “The Talk” tied its season low in Women 25-54 rating, and nearly hit a new season low in Total Viewers. Just 1.394 million viewers watched the Akbar Gbajabiamila, Jerry O’Connell, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales and Sheryl Underwood hosted talk show last week. Despite the dip, the talk show managed to break the tie it had with “GMA3: What You Need to Know” for last place in Women 25-54 rating. The CBS talker moved up to 12th place for the season with its 0.34 rating in the demo while the ABC News program now holds 13th place all to itself with a 0.33 rating. Both shows are tied for last place in Women 18-49, however, each with a 0.23 rating.
