So happy for GH, Just a suggestion, lose that beginning please. Also, I understand camp. I understand the impetus of foreshadowing. I really would like to hear contemporary songs again. To give the show an updated feel. Maura West is giving me life. Sean Kanan deserves better. There is a portion of the cast we can lose. And, more sets, places to go, the grocery store. Do they eat, at other places besides Kelly’s and Metro Court. I need a mansion for Julian Jerome. Just give me a position on staff, I can Gloria Monty that bitch up, 2014 style. ;-) I would love to see the show get to a 3.0 rating. Oh, yeah Vanessa Marcil please come back!!!

I gave GH a try a couple of weeks ago and at first was grabbed by the energy but for reasons just stated kind of moved on quickly. The sets are good but the scenes are so long you begin to disect them. The acting, great. The writing seems good. Maybe the editing? Still it seems like an improved show but not zippy enough to draw me in to an hour per day.

    • TV&MovieBuff

Unless budgets get a lot higher we will probably never see many of those things again. The shows just can’t afford multiple sets and contemporary music anymore.

        That sucks!

Thoroughly enjoying B/B and Days right now. My partner who is strictly a Days fan is enjoying the new Ridge on B/B these days. Hoping to get him watching both. He converted me from Y/R to Days.well him and JFP.

The shows are mostly maintaining some of their higher numbers from earlier this winter with the bad weather in most areas. I’m wondering if people are picking the habit back up a bit, or if once Spring hits, we’ll see a drop off.
Only DAYS and BB did not show ANY increases in any demos.
Congrats to YR for increases in 18-49 and 25-54.

  • Andrew Hass

It was a good week for GH.I think there’s no chance that GH will ever overtake B&B for 2nd place in overall viewers but right now they are only about 700,000 viewers behind them.So even if GH never overtakes B&B thy could still give them a scare.

  • let the numbers speak

    Wow!

Congrats to all our soaps for the best ratings (households, season average to date) since the 2007-08 season!

DAYS has seen an especially remarkable uptick since the turn of the year, constantly staying at or above 2.1 in households (live + same day; live +7 days should be at 2.2 and above) ever since – something we haven’t seen in many years!

If they continue to follow the example of GH, they might find themselves at 2.3 and above in the near future!
