    Go DAYS!

    And by the way:

    “Women 18-49…
    DAYS…Highest since February 21-25, 2011″

    Wouldn’t that be a 3-year-high (not a 2-year-high, as stated above)??

  • Bexx

Looks like the loony Muhney fans had a HUGE impact on Y&R ratings. Kudos to DOOL on those gains.

    • Marion Ellen Lee

So it has been proved, when together we stand, we get the desired results.

      • Bexx

Seems that loony circle is quite small. Hardly the millions needed to bring down CBS.

        • Kendall

I’m sure the fans of the soaps that no longer exist once said the same thing when those show’s ratings first started to fall. Enjoy your show(s) while you still can.

          • Bexx

Considering it’s going to be around for a few more years, I plan to do just that. Enjoy your anger, and whatever it is you’re watching these days.

          • Kendall

Lol, Angry? Stop smoking. I’m not angry at all. You’re the one all emotional, you should stop projecting YOUR feelings onto others.

          • Bexx

You should stop trying to pass off your crystal ball projections as facts. The little boycott was a bust. Y&R didn’t fall nearly enough to set any alarms off. The crazies told us that Y&R would be dead on January 30th, now we’re being told it’s death has been pushed back a few weeks, with no exact perish date. LMAO

          • Kendall

No, what Muhney fans said is that Y&R would be dead to them…and it is. Again, your fixation with what Muhney fans say and do is disturbing, and name calling just makes you look bad. Seek help.

          • jude

Give it a rest don’t watch the show. We don’t care get a life. Y&R will do just fine without you. I’m a huge MM fan; but he does not make the show;its all the other actors and actresses as well. Oh by the way if you were a true fan you would stick behind your soap.
            Go all soaps 2014

          • Kendall

If you had been paying attention you would know that I don’t watch the show anymore. Obviously some of you care or else you wouldn’t keep commenting and trying to debate everything I say. I was a fan. But I can’t stand behind a show I no longer enjoy or respect. If you have a problem with that, then that’s your issue. Some people actually are true to their principles. FYI, Blind loyalty is highly overrated.

          • jude

Why you so worried about Y&R you said you were done with the soap; you shouldn’t care what happens to it. Your just mad because Y&R will do just fine without you. U are the type of people who will find one thing and blow it out of proportion. This soap opera is going to be on for a very long time

          • Kendall

Why do you keep asking questions you really don’t want the answer to? LOL I’m not worried, just responding to the comments I CONTINUE to get. When a person says something to me I acknowledge them out of respect and I attempt to try and be polite. But warped minds here want to spin that into me somehow being “worried” “whining” being “mad” and “caring” about the fate of Y&R. I don’t. I now see that it is pointless for me to respond and show respect to others who don’t give me the same respect in return. So I guess from now on I will just ignore you all and act like you don’t exist. You all seem much more comfortable with rude behavior anyway, so you should be happy now. Enjoy your show fellas!

          • Bexx

You are really disturbed if you think Y&R is about tank over a few disgruntled fan girls. DOOL and GH would be cancelled long before Y&R, if your argument is solely the ratings.

          • Kendall

You’re the one that keeps talking about Y&R tanking. I simply stated that the ratings are falling and will continue to do so. But for some reason you seem to have your panties in a bunch. Sorry that the state of Y&R means so much to you, I guess that’s all you have to focus on.

        • sillywhispers

This “looney circle” is unhappy with a product that is supposedly written for their viewing pleasure. Y&R’s story lines have been slightly recycled plots that weren’t received well the first time they were done on other soaps. A lot of the show is oldie moldy, such as the Victor/Jack nonsensical war. There now are too many of JFP’s transplanted actors sucking up the screen time. IMO, MM’s scandal took too long to conclude in a firing for it to have been the real cause of his dismissal. More likely, it was a handy excuse for replacing him with another pet actor or possibly because of the on set fighting between EB and MM over EB’s lack of professionalism. Yeah, the loons have no right to complain or try to get their show fixed.

          • Bexx

If the product doesn’t entertain you, them by all means stop watching. But you do not speak for the rest of us. It’s better to just move on, than be sad and angry over a soap.

  • Harlee

Days is on fire and producing the best soap stories of any on TV….it just keeps getting better.

  • Patrick Ferrando

And for all the former YR fans who “walked”. The week MM made his announcement he was leaving (12/16), and all was well in the soap world, YR had 4,729,000 viewers that week. So if some people left…then quite a few more have joined.

    • Kendall

Actually most Muhney fans started boycotting the show January 31st, after his last episode aired. And as this ratings report shows, it has had a significant impact. It is only the beginning.

      • Patrick Ferrando

How so, if three of the four shows were down and Days only gained 6000. Show me some facts.

        • Kendall

Um, the “fact” is that Y&R lost viewers. Viewers vowed to stop watching. The ratings proved they did. This isn’t rocket science.

          • Bexx

Stop being ignorant to the fact that you have clue as to whether or not Muhney fans had any impact on the ratings. Unless you polled the viewers you have no argument.

          • Kendall

You need to stop being ignorant, period. So you think its just a coincidence that ratings dropped when Muhney fans vowed to stop watching? Not likely. Stop reaching. And Muhney fans are not the only Y&R fans dissatisfied with the current direction of the show, more will probably stop watching.
I will say though, that your fixation on Muhney fans is a little disturbing. Maybe you should find a more worthwhile hobby, cause this one just makes you look pathetic.

          • Bexx

And all of the other times Y&R numbers fell while Muhney, Miller, and Stafford were all being featured on the show? Why were viewers tuning out if those three made the show?

I have no fixation with Muhney fans, I just want you all to follow through with the plans, shut up, and go away. Pathetic people are those who don’t know when to let go.

          • Kendall

Then you really should stop talking about them then, shouldn’t you? I guess they are getting to you, I understand, LOL. You keep saying “you all” I am one person. If you want to address the masses start a blog. Based on your own statement, I guess it’s time for YOU to “let go” then isn’t it? Good luck!

          • Patrick Ferrando

The show is UP 718,000 viewers over a year ago.
There is NO defection in masses.
And when people mention MM, it’s because his fans said they’d bring the show down. I think THAT’S the “pathetic” you mention above.
The show will NEVER be for everyone. But it’s not going anywhere.
And whoever doesn’t like it already isn’t watching. Period.

          • Kendall

The show is still benefiting from the contributions that Michelle Stafford, Billy Miller and Michael Muhney have made. That is why the ratings are up from last year, but I’m sure you and others will spin that some way too, LOL Either way, not my problem. And FYI, all shows end.

          • Tootie

Exactly! Especially when all Y&R brass has been doing the month prior was bragging about their record breaking ratings, then the day and week after Muhney/Miller are gone, they lose a quarter of a million viewers? Yep!

        • Tootie

Not everyone has to pick up a new soap when they leave another. I didn’t.

      • richalan67

Thanks for giving me a good laugh today. I almost spit my coffee out, I’m sure y’all will find something else to complain about. Oh that’s right, you all quit watching!! lol

        • Kendall

I did quit watching actually…and I’m not complaining just stating the facts. Truth hurts.

          • Bexx

Please do show your projections for the next month, I’d love to see the numbers.

          • Kendall

Unlike you, I’m not that invested in the outcome.

          • Bexx

Yet you’re worried about the numbers?

          • Kendall

Were are you getting this stuff? I’m not worried about the numbers, you are. You’re the one asking for projections, lol

          • Bexx

I’m asking for projections since you claimed it’s only the beginning. You obvious know something that the rest of us don’t

          • Kendall

Apparently…I have seen how upset Y&R fans (non-Muhney fans) are about the direction of the show. They have been quit vocal about it the past week (have you been under a rock?) and they said they would no longer continue watching the show, so stands to reason that ratings should continue to fall…once again not rocket science. Simply a logical deduction.

          • Patrick Ferrando

Quite the contrary…last week had THREE cliffhangers on Friday that all the soaps blogs are praising.
You are being very single focused. On the fact that the show fired MM and he’s NOT coming back due to his behavior.

          • Kendall

Actually Patrick you are the one with the singular focus. You focus on what “blogs” are writing. In my responses, I have focused on what the actual “viewers” are saying on the message boards. A lot of them are very unhappy (even with the so called “cliff hangers”). Especially Billy Miller fans. You seem to feel a strong need to support your show and prove a point, while I on the other hand have simply stated facts. People are unhappy, period. Maybe not everyone but a lot. And that should matter to Y&R, but it doesn’t. Either way not my problem. Why you people continue to comment and solicit a response from me, someone whose opinion “doesn’t matter” and that you supposedly “don’t care about” is mind boggling. Oh, in case you are wondering, I know about the message boards because my friend posts on them frequently and shares what is said, she is still a fan but probably not for much longer. And she is not alone.

          • Patrick Ferrando

I appreciate your attempt at analysis of YR’s ratings, but you continue to avoid the facts.
The show is up over 700,000 over a year ago. And this past week three shows were down. I don’t get what you are trying to project.
You are either a MM fan, or someone who has always disliked YR. Doesn’t matter in the big picture. You are one person.
I can say the exact same thing you are. I have over 100 twitter followers who are liking the show. The blogs AND the followers of the blogs that I am reading are mostly positive. So your friends hate it, and my friends love it. What’s your point. In the end, we have the trend of the ratings to tell us the real story.
So yes, actual, viewers. Not people either of us claim to be watching or not watching.
SOME people are unhappy you claim. But there are 5.5 mil who are not.
I’m not trying to get ANY response from you. As a non watcher as you claim, it doesn’t make sense that YOU continue to respond to anything related to YR. So stop whining on this thread.

          • Kendall

(Sigh), Patrick, I respond because it is the polite thing to do, not because I have some agenda. Ratings dropped that’s a fact, spin it anyway you want. And I never said anywhere that my friends hate Y&R, the viewers I referenced are not my friends, just random viewers. But you are going to believe what you want, and honestly I don’t care either way who watches and who doesn’t. And if you keep responding to MY posts you are soliciting a response. You could just post a general comment but instead you direct them to me as have others, which is why I respond. If you don’t like/agree with what I have to say then stop addressing your posts to ME. Not once have I “whined”, but that characterization did give me a good laugh. Enjoy your show Patrick. (Whoever would have guessed that so many men felt so strongly about a soap, LOL)

          • Patrick Ferrando

(Smile) Oh Kendall, there is a reply link for a reason. If you post, people can do so.
And yes, who would have known that men watch soaps!

          • Harlee

Facts are….you don’t watch YR, your choice move on and give some of the wood to the others. Martyrs as you and others offering a big sacrifice by not watching…Please! You supposedly & many others saying “I’m not watching” “I’ve quit watching” this is old and tiring as you’re rants about YR….! Regardless how I feel, I’m still wCBS not always happy, this is true. One fact remains YR are head & shoulders (closest BB) above the remaining soaps and they will NEVER reach those heights in the ratings and this is a FACT.

    • Cass

      Let’s talk in a month.

      • Bexx

First it was January 30th, now it it’s a month? You people…

      • Patrick Ferrando

        That doesn’t make sense.
Unless you “all” are still watching.
I get the disappointment in having to let MM go, but YR is NOT going anywhere. Even if it does lose a few more viewers.

        • sillywhispers

I completely lost interest. I’m sure others are feeling the same way. I’m still following this because I’ve been a viewer, off and on, since the late 70s. It was a habit that I’m dropping because I’m sick of being continually disappointed and not being entertained. I’ve tried to make a difference through the last two bad regimes in order to save the show. I suppose that’s lunacy.

        • Tootie

A lot of viewers still don’t realize he is not coming back. The hand in the snow? Not everyone is on twitter or reads about soaps online. They are being lead on. Once his replacement comes on, the ratings will tumble even farther.

          • richalan67

You are too funny. You guys give yourself so much credit.

  • robert

Congrats to Days. Y&R didn’t fall much post BM and MM.

  • Jared Bradshaw

Wow, Y&R & B&B. Great job. I’m happy about these amazing resurgences.

  • Billy Vick

I agree it seems DAYS would have hit a THREE YEAR high in the Women 18-49 VIEWERS. Also, I just dont understand how some of these calculations are done! If you take EACH soaps daily rating, add them up and get their average, then Y&R was 3.94 reported as 3.9 above, B&B was 2.94 reported as 2.9 above, GH was 2.3 reported as 2.3 above, HOWEVER DAYS was 2.16 which was NOT REPORTED as 2.2 but as 2.1. If you look at their dailies, the show had a 2.3, 2.2, 2.2, 2.1, & 2.0. Hard to understand how that averages a 2.1?? And also the show had only 80,000 less viewers for the week than GH but 0.2 less of a ratings point, meaning 0.1 ratings point equalled 40,000 viewers? If you compare this to another set of shows like Y&R and B&B, in which B&B had 1,343,000 less viewers & a 1 point less rating, that comes out to 134,000 viewers per 0.1 ratings point, which is about right. So it seems DAYS always gets cheated out of what it EARNS TO ME!

  • sands of time

    DAYS is captivating!!!

  • Hugo

Y&R lost 78’000 viewers in the key demo while DAYS gainged 58’000, compared to last week. It could be a coincidence but I think it’s possible that some Michael Muhney fans decided to switch to DAYS.

    • richalan67

Ha. I am sick of the fans of MM thinking that have that much power. The show has continued to rock since his departure. It is better than many years. One man does not make show!

      • RedRiver38

One man makes the show for some people. If they choose to no longer watch, that’s their prerogative and none of your business. If you like the show now, then good for you. It’s a free country. BTW, the guy that replaced Billy Miller is pathetic. He looks like a child and is a lousy recast. I’m sure the nuAdam will be just as crappy.

        • richalan67

Ha! David Tom was Billy before Billy Miller. If you all have stopped watching then why are you concerned any more about the show?? Things that make you go hmmm.

          • RedRiver38

I saw the promo on TV and could see how bad he is. I have also been reading about his failure all over the internet. I love to see Y&R in the pits. I’ll stick with DAYS any day of the week.

          • richalan67

The only place you are seeing how bad David Tom is doing but be the internet of your mind or other detractors. He has been garnering praise all over the place. His scenes last week with Victor solidified his place on the s how, yet again. Go ahead and watch Days, that’s your choice. Stop knocking a show that you supposedly stopped watching.

    • Bexx

Not possible. The Muhney fans claimed they were all going to watch GH, but we all know what a joke that idea would be.

  • Paula

It seems to me that 244,000 viewers have registered a complaint about YR by tuning out during a week that had more people at home from bad weather and no Olympics on another channel to blame for pulling viewers. I read somewhere that for each complaint there are 26 customers who remained silent. I believe there are countless unhappy viewers who are still watching out of curiosity about Billy Miller’s replacement and/or hope that the show will eventually improve. It doesn’t mean they are satisfied; they just haven’t turned off the show yet.

    • Patrick Ferrando

If that’s the case, did 350,000 viewers tune in the prior week to register a complaint?

    • Harlee

I’m one that has serious complaints about YR and been watching for 40 years but I will never turn off YR or BB regardless what you may think….many more like myself, we just keep on praying for improvement. There has been improvement but some areas still needs worked.

  • sands of time

Is there any truth to the rumor that Sami will be murdered on DAYS?
