WHAT DO YOU THINK? Comment Below...

Great for Days but GH after/despite all the backlash on boards did pretty well too ! ha.

    • David

I love that GH ratings were up from one year ago and one week ago and that they did so well in the 18-34 numbers.
It shows that the internet audience is not the audience to go by. The ones complaining are the ones who will hate and complain no matter what.

Great to see all soaps up as we need all our soaps to survive

  • Harlee

Another stellar week for YR warms the cockles of my heart to see such healthy numbers. Even Monday’s original did a 3.1 which didn’t count, would more than likely put them at 3.5 impressive. Completely up from a year in all categories which is nice to see sticking once again….YR has been good and had good May sweeps. Jeanne’s tribute 3.7…WOW been a few years for that type of number….but can’t touch Days in movement & buzz right now, DOOL has a great synergy going for it and moving the the numbers….solid 3rd this week… GH will be dethroned from 3rd place permanently if not careful with the rise of the House of Corday…

This is impressive across the boards for soaps! Good job and especially Days!

    • Lara

Actually they got a 3.7 sometime in January and during the 40th celebration so not it’s not been a few years.

      • Harlee

        I forgot you’re right, ty….my bad wasn’t considering the anniversary show….

  • Philip

Great job Days. Glad to see the increase for Y&R and B&B too.

I will not even say that I am happy about GH’s increase. Sickening that they could get an increase for such an awful mess of a show it has turned into. The show is sickening and after last week I officially took it off my DVR. I’ll never return.

And before you die hard psycho fans come on and say good you need to go. Or the show doesn’t need you etc. Save it. You might not care about what you view or support but I do. And I refuse to support 2 men who care more about what they want than what is best for a show. And as far as some of the fans you can condone rape and turning one of the worst characters ever into a hero if you want but I have more respect for myself to support such crap.

I’m done with the show. And sorry but I will not wish good ratings on this mess.

    • Bex

GH always settles at the bottom like murky water. These are their normal number, but wonder what happened on Friday?

      • David

Actually it is tied with Days in the 18-49 and is #2 in the 18-34 demos that matter the most. As for your Friday comment, every show dropped a .1 or .2 on Friday generally is the pattern with the soaps for whatever reason

    • David

Good GH doesn’t need haters like you. If you bothered to watch you would see how they are handling things. And how great it has been to have so many scenes with Leslie Charleson and Jane Elliott. What i love is the fact that the ratings rose despite all the hating which shows that despite all the complaints the non internet audience is enjoying it. It is tied with the Days in 18-49 and is number 2 in 18-34 which are the numbers that matter the most

      • Philip

Oh poor poor David. I criticized your favorite show. Now don’t fall apart. Oh and I don’t want to see how they are handling things. I don’t care to and I don’t want to anymore. And that is fully thanks to the two stupid egos of the two idiots running the show now. And believe me you calling me a hater just makes me laugh. I have been called much worse by a whole lot more worthy people. Some sad peon on a internet message board is the least of my worries. It’s a TV show and easily replaceable.

        • Bex

          Everyone is ignoring David.

          • David

Yep you are ignoring me yet felt the need to post that. Do you think if a dumb cunt like you ignoring me bothers me. I’d prefer you not post about GH at all but go cry because its numbers rose thanks to Roger Howarth as FRANCO

          • David

Notice Bex cant face the fact that GH tied with Days in the 18-49 and beat Days and B&B in the 18-34. In fact in that all important 18-34 demo GH is only 10,000 viewers less than Y&R. So much for all the gloom and doom Bex the cunt

          • lulu

            David is right here..ha !

        • David

Good then stop watching it stop posting it and move on. You are a hater because you say you don’t watch the show yet you have to post about it just to put it down despite the fact its numbers went up. People like you are the pathetic ones. The show might lose you but it will gain one viewer in the important demos that matter. Since I am sure you are the old people demo your opinion don’t matter.

You are just mad because people like the show and cannot handle the fact that people come on here and rebutt what you say.

Now go ahead come on and act like God, when you are nothing but a piece of dirt. You are actually worse but for the sake of this board i will keeep the language clean. I like the fact that my post got a rise out of you, I knew it would

  • PatF

So over 5 million people tuned in to watch the tribute to Jeanne Cooper. All veteran Y and R actors on the screen, and everyone tuned in to watch.
    Hmmmmm…Novel idea.
The new team that’s trying so hard to fill the screen with newer, younger characters need to see this as a wake up call!
But still, what a great week for all the shows. And B and B is now up a HALF million viewers over last year. Wow.

    • Lena

They turned in to pay tribute to Jeanne Cooper. Many who tuned in stopped watching the show long ago. It’s not a vet vs newbies thing its a people underestimate the power of Jeanne Cooper thing.

      • Harlee

You’re correct it was a Jeanne Cooper thing to highlight this magnificent career & came in droves to pay respect…doesn’t mean all will leave, if they secured few thousands to tune in again for Katherine’s death it well worth how CBS, Sony, & YR handle with such respect & love for the viewers, again thank you. Many wants to see how Katherine’s send off story and all involved is feeling pressured to deliver something outstanding.

It has been Vet vs Newbie constantly with the last 3 regimes, difference is the writing is better & stable with Josh & Jill…knowing full well there are still some problems…YR’s ratings are reflecting too some very good stories with our vets at the same time…

      • PatF

Which is why many Y and R fans believe that if the fallout of her onscreen death is played out right, many will continue to tune in again.
It’s the same old story. You don’t retain OR GAIN viewers by filling the screen with new characters and faces all at once.
They need to be slowly introduced and written in, but not at the expense of the vet characters.

      • Philip

The same could be said for the 4 recently cancelled soap operas, but many people try to make something big out of the big increases they got in the final weeks. Many of those people quit watching those 4 soaps years ago too. They tuned in to say goodbye.

  • Bex

Funny someone boasting about GH this week, yet when DOOL was mopping their ass over the last two weeks their psycho fan was MIA. People should learn to be less aggressive when they’re second to last in the pecking order.

    • Bex2

Are you mad that GH’s ratings increased? Seriously Bex get over yourself. Days didn’t mop anyones ass the ratings were far from a huge difference. It is funny we are not allowed to insult your shows but all you people do is come on here hate at GH and insult anyone who is positive about the show. At least we had GH for 5 days this week while NBC felt the need to preempt it 2 days for tennis, shows the importance of Days to NBC

      • lulu

Let’s not fight here : BOTH GH and Days did great, it is something to celebrate not fight over imo..

        • David

I am glad Days did great in fact I never said a word about Days other than commenting on actual ratings numbers. Unlike some people I don’t come on here and out down other shows. I think it is great that all the soaps, Days, GH, B&B, and Y&R all rose. It is nice this year to see ratings are rising as opposed to last year when we were seeing ratings were dropping for all soaps. If people were just happy for the soap they like instead of throwing insults and jabs at the others there would be no issues on this board. But people like Bex have nothing better to do they think people should only speak bad about GH. Anyone who speaks good about it they get easily offended

  • Angela Margot

So cool! All soaps are up HUGE from last year. They are so much better than those crappy and cheap talk and game shows.

If ABC and CBS had made smart investments instead of killing long-running soaps, ATWT, GL, OLTL and AMC could be in the exact same position today!!

  • PatF

    WHERE are LAST week’s ratings?
