Brian Kerwin's Last Airdate Set on 'One Life'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — As we previously reported, Brian Kerwin (Charlie Banks) has been let go by “One Life to Live.” However, despite the fact that his character’s marriage to Viki (Erika Slezak) is all but over, don’t look for the actor to exit Llanview for several more weeks as more drama lies ahead for Charlie.

Even though Charlie was recently reunited with his old flame Echo Di Savoy (Kim Zimmer), that doesn’t mean the lovebirds will be riding off into the sunset together. That’s right, there’s about to be some trouble brewing between the pair courtesy of Viki and Dorian (Robin Strasser). But how will Charlie react when he learns what Echo has been keeping from him?  Tune in to find out!

According to Soap Opera Digest, Kerwin’s final airdate is expected to be Wednesday, May 11. He joined the show in 2007 and was nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards for the role of Charlie in 2008 and 2010. He has also appeared on Broadway, in “The Young and the Restless,” and in countless other television series, including “Desperate Housewives,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Frasier,” “Law & Order,” “Without a Trace,” and “Beggars & Choosers.”

CBS Celebrates Genie Francis on 'Y&R' With Photo Shoot

In a rarity for soaps, CBS posted on its Twitter page today your first look at Genie Francis in her newly created role of Genevieve, who looks to be the next villainess on the networks "The Young and the Restless." The image was first posted on on-screen son Daniel Goddard's (Ethan 'Cane' Ashby) Facebook page. From looking at the image (posted at right), the actress' new character is surely nothing like her iconic character, Laura Spencer, from her time on "General Hospital, which is what she wanted when she spoke with Oprah Winfrey in February. "If there is a way to go forward with Laura and make her into what I’d like her to be now, then perhaps I would do it," said Francis. "I would like her to be funny and have a little bit of an agenda that might look a little bit vengeful, but it really isn’t. I think she’d have a plan," she continued. "There is nothing in me that is willing to play a victim anymore. I’m sort of done with the wounded dove in my life."

While an exact first airdate has not been set, Francis is expected to make her debut on "Y&R" towards the end of May. Meanwhile, Goddard fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Soap Opera Network is hearing that Christel Khalil's Lily, Cane's widow, will come face to face with her "dead" husband in early May and the two will share a kiss!

Francis joining "Y&R" will be a nice memorial reunion for the actress as she'll share parenting skills with former "General Hospital" co-star Tristan Rogers, who portrays Cane's daddy Colin Atkinson.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — "The Young and the Restless" Episode Recap – Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

              IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Billy wants to get to the bottom of things with Primrose regarding what Jana has stumbled on. He tells her that he wants to see her immediately. When he's done, he fills Victoria in about Gloria and Chloe just as Jana walks in. A nervous Billy tells Jana to stop searching into helping Kevin find his niece and to keep her mouth shut about it to Victoria.

At Crimson Lights, Kevin and Daniel talk about the reporters arriving to talk to folks who once knew Sharon. The subject instantly switches to that of Jana's helping Kevin search for Daisy and Daniel's baby. Daniel is surprised when he's told that Jana believes that the baby was sold to a baby broker. He says Daniel may not want to search for his child, but as the baby's uncle, he's going to do it.

Heather comes to the police station to inform Gloria and Chloe that they will be out on bond by the end of the evening. When Chloe and Heather start to bicker, Gloria reminds her partner in crime that they have to focus on the real problem: Jana. They need to find out what she's up to and stop her at all costs. Kevin arrives to get them, followed shortly by Billy, who tells them he's not pressing charges. Chloe insists that Billy opens his eyes and realizes that Jana is up to no good. Billy warns Chloe that she needs to back off before she regrets it.

Lily meets with Dr. Mason at her home. She shares with the therapist that she's been seeing Cane in the places that she's at. She tells him that she's having a hard time trying to understand what message he could be sending her. She opens up further about meeting Judi, the psychic she met at Cane's tombstone. The doctor chalks it up that there most likely be some unresolved issues she's trying to work through in order to find peace.

Abby meets up with Daniel at Crimson Lights and thinks that he's thinking about the loss of Sharon. Slightly agitated, Daniel partially hears what she's talking about, which is the Naked Heiress. She tells him that maybe working on it will help get their minds off of the tragedy. She gets slightly upset, however, when Daniel tells her that he'll meet her at the studio; he needs to see Lily. Needing to talk to someone, Abby heads to see Victoria. She admits that she's envious of Daniel and Lily's closeness.

Daniel shows up at Lily's and can tell that she's upset. She quickly pushes her problems aside and wants to know what's bothering him. Daniel tells Lily that people are getting closer to the truth about Lucy. He tells her that Billy started grilling him about where Daisy had the baby, while Jana managed to stumble upon the woman who sold Billy the baby. He admits that it's getting harder to keep his mouth shut and his lies straight.

Gloria and Heather return back to Gloworm. Jeffrey teases her about not being all dressed up. She in turn snaps into him that she's been in jail while he was living it up in Vegas. When Gloria spots Angelo walking in, she calls out to him. Heather turns around and unknowingly is staring at the man that helped kidnap her. Seeing Heather, Angelo fakes a sore throat. When she leaves, Jeffrey appears with a bag of the money he's won in Vegas, telling Angelo they are done.

Billy meets with Primrose and demands to know if she has any written documents of their business. He wants to know what was asked of her when Jana met with her. Primrose tells him that she was told that the girl was looking for information on where her friend's baby could be and how she caught her going through her documents. A furious Billy wants to see what files Primrose has. He's even more angry when he sees his bank account number written down.

Kevin fills Chloe in on the real reason why Jana had a pregnancy suit to begin with: she was helping him locate where Daisy may have left her baby. Chloe, at first, doesn't believe him, thinking it's just another way for Jana to get Kevin back into her bed, but when he tells her that Jana stumbled on to something, she becomes interested. Kevin contacts Jana and asks her to meet him at the coffee shop so they can talk. She arrives and Chloe pounces on her for using her search for the baby as a way to get in good with Kevin. Kevin tells Chloe that she either is going to help and support him or to be quiet. A furious Chloe walks out, leaving Jana and Kevin alone.

Taking a trip to the bank, Billy talks to the teller that first called him to report the matter about his account being questioned. He wants to know if the bank had any video that may have captured the woman asking about his account. The teller excuses herself to see and when she returns she sets up the video for him to watch. As he's watching, he's shocked to see that Jana was the one asking about his account.

Lily leaves the apartment to go back to the cemetery. Going to Cane's grave, she spots the picture of Cane's sister on his grave. Freaked out, Lily calls out for Cane to tell her what he wants her to do. When she hears his voice behind her, she turns around and is floored to see him standing right across from her.

AMC Recap: Wednesday, April 20, 2011

                (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “All My Children” Episode Recap – Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

                IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Tad finally allows Cara to help him with his investigation in to who stabbed her brother. They spot the man who stabbed Griffin at the bar at Krystal’s and when he leaves the two follow and split up for a better shot at catching him. Cara winds up being ambushed but Tad comes to her rescue. Jesse’s called in and the man is taken to the station. Griffin ID’s the guy as the one who stabbed him but the story’s turned around when the guy acts like he knows Griffin and says he did it to defend Diane. While on a picnic with Ricky, Kendall wonders out loud what kind of person would set up Griffin. When Ricky discusses a conversation that Kendall had with Zach, she questions how he knew that, word for word. Ricky quickly covers that she told him once after she had too much wine. Ryan and Ricky look through some of Diana’s belongings for evidence. Ricky finds a photo where he is clearly in the background and removes it. Needing some time alone, Kendall goes to the yacht where she accidentally discovers the original letter from Zach with the missing page that points the blame at the casino owners should something happen to him.

Greenlee seems to be making headway with Emma when she brings her down to Fusion but once she sees a photo of her mom, Emma gets upset and runs towards the elevator unaware that it’s dangerous. Once she’s freed Ryan insists her behavior stop immediately.

While he has been trying to do things the “right way”, Scott finds that he isn’t getting the benefit of the doubt after he’s passed up for a job at the hospital. Thinking that honest work isn’t always the best way to go Scott calls JR to discuss opportunities for the both of them.

                  IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Niki is nearly found out when she and Tess are happened on by Natalie. Tess provides Niki with a cover story for her shocking appearance; later, the two reset their plan to hijack the judge’s decision regarding Ryder’s custody.

Dorian alerts Clint’s household to his heart attack. Joey and Dorian accompany Clint to the hospital. Natalie gets word of Clint’s heart attack from Joey. Niki (as Viki) declines to go with Natalie to the hospital, using Liam as an excuse.

Dorian is on the verge of telling Joey about Aubrey and Cutter’s relationship when Natalie arrives, explaining that Viki stayed behind. Dorian makes a beeline for Viki. Dorian arrives at Llanfair to find Niki, exasperated at having to keep up her ruse as Viki. Dorian delivers the information she exacted from Clint, that Echo always knew the truth about Rex’s paternity. Niki reacts as appropriately as she can and Dorian is left wondering why Viki isn’t as angry as she expected her to be.

Aubrey is left behind at the mansion with Rama, who wonders how Clint’s condition might affect their future. Aubrey confesses to Rama how Tess is now caught up in their scheme, and that she has taken an interest in Cutter. Rama wonders if Aubrey has a similarly genuine interest in Joey.

Cristian and Kelly look on angrily but can do nothing about it and previously Cutter told them how his plan to spend more time with Tess (in the “hope” she’ll give way to Jessica) has received Joey’s blessing.

James gets the impression that Ford is softening on Tess. Ford learns of Deanna’s arrival in town. Starr shows Deanna to her new digs in Langston’s old room. Starr pumps Deanna for information about her relationship with James.
