'DAYS' Sets Bren Foster's First Airdate and It's Sexylicious

( — As previously reported, NBC's "Days of our Lives" has cast actor Bren Foster in the contract role of Quinn, a "charming businessman with an edge. He can be clean cut or not. He is sexy, mysterious and savvy, has an easy way with the ladies but can be formidable if crossed." According to sources, Foster's first scenes will be with Nadia Bjorlin's Chloe Lane. The two will meet at the Cheatin' Heart, where Quinn offers to buy Chloe a drink and one thing leads to another (hello sexy couple), on Friday Thursday, May 5. The funniest part? Look for Quinn to mistake Chloe for one of the world's oldest professionals! No wonder Foster's hair looks a little gray on his first day.

Prior to joining "DAYS," Foster is probably best known for his roles in the Australian soap "Home and Away" and drama "Sea Patrol." He recently completed work on two American films, one called "War Flowers" where he played the role of John Ellis, a confederate sergeant alongside actors Christina Ricci and Tom Berenger, and "Bad to the Bone" where he portrays the title character Donnor 'Bone' Mason. He appeared regularly in the short lived National Geographic series "Fight Scene," which delved into the world of mixed martial arts, fighting back and special ops. Foster is also a World Tae Kwon Do Champion.

Foster was born in London and moved to Australia when he was three years old. He started his acting career while in high school.

More on the 'GH' Lawsuit That Rocked ABC Daytime and Other Court Drama

( — So you heard the story about ABC being sued for unpaid residuals owed to the estate of "General Hospital" creators Frank and Doris Hursley? Did you know that their children are Bridget Dobson, Deborah Hardy and Polly Keusnik? Why is that important? According to The Hollywood Reporter, two of the three women were writers on "GH" way back when and in the case of Bridget Dobson, she and her husband, Jerome, co-created NBC's cult classic "Santa Barbara." During the time the two were at odds with NBC, current "GH" executive producer, Jill Farren Phelps, oversaw the day-to-day operations of "Barbara." Did you also know that five years ago ABC faced another "GH" related lawsuit courtesy of fired actress Kari Wuhrer, who played Reese Marshall or the REAL Carly Roberts (there goes ABC with that REAL talk again), after she accused the network of firing her for being pregnant? The drama at this network just doesn't stop!

Per THR, the Hursley children are suing ABC for unspecified damages alleging "breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, money had and received and an accounting." The suit was filed Tuesday, April 26 in Los Angeles Superior Court around the time soap fans were protesting the cancellations of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" around the nation.

I'm no lawyer, but clearly they want the money owed to them and they want ABC to hand over those accounting books to get it. SOAPnet, look how much damage you've caused ABC! They can't get rid of you fast enough.

ABC Done Called the Cops on Ya'll 'Crazy' Soap Fans

( — On Tuesday, April 26, soap fans, who were able to make it to protests in response to ABC's cancellation of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" in major cities across the nation, found out the hard way that dictatorships (cough, television networks) don't play with crazy – they just call the cops on them! To be clear, by no means are we calling anyone crazy (except the boneheaded movers and shakers at ABC). Unfortunately, that is what some people believe when they hear you're a soap fan these days. But onto the news…

According to those who attended the New York protest in front of the "One Life to Live" studios in Manhattan, ABC called the police on protesters! "The rally has petered a bit! But the POLICE is out her talking to the ABC peeps," said Twitter poster Xanderdash after tweeting a picture of fans protesting. "We've been asked to relocate!" he continued. Not too long ago Brittany Underwood, who recently departed "One Life" after learning her character, Langston Wilde, was being written out due to "storyline" reasons tweeted, "What's this I hear about the cops being called on the people outside OLTL?" Xanderdash responded with more details on the situation by saying "They thought we would get out of line. At one point it was 4 cop cars waiting 4 something to happen. Only one stuck around."

All the way on the left coast, things got downright nasty as a Disney employee yelled out "read a book!" to protesters in Los Angeles, including former "One Life to Live" star Catherine Hickland (ex-Lindsay Rappaport) who was in attendance as well and who, ironically, has written a book (2008's "The 30 Day Heartbreak Cure – A Guide to Getting Over Him and Back Out There One Month From Today").

            Hickland on Twitter

A Disney employee yelled out to us "read a book!" will we be without compassion when he loses his job? I hope not #souless

Read a book? excellent idea! Not support their parks, tv shows, DVD's, movies, etc. Now there's a man who knows how2promote his company! NOT

Were the protests successful? While the turn out numbers weren't exactly high, that didn't stop KNBC, KTLA or The New York Daily News from covering the event. It was also satisfying to hear that passing cars were honking their horns in support of the fans and their soaps at the LA protest.

The Behind the Scenes Drama at ABC Daytime Keeps on Popping as Network is Now Being Sued!

( — Oh ABC, ABC, ABC…or should I say ABC Daytime? In the two weeks since you opted to cancel the soaps citing poor financial returns and low ratings at "All My Children" and "One Life to Live," which caused backlash within the television community, a major advertiser pulls their ads off your network and then the incompetence of your top dog is uncovered by an employee to the press. So what else could you possibly have up your soapy sleeve? How about your being sued by the children of the creators of "General Hospital" for missing profit margins! That's right folks, according to, the estate of Frank and Doris Hursley, the creators of "GH," headed up by their children, is suing The Walt Disney Company owned ABC for what they claim are missing profits from the syndication of the show. Yes people, this is directly related to SOAPnet's same-day airings of "GH." For those asking, SOAPnet is that cable network that just won't die fast enough for Disney's liking.

              TMZ Report

According to the lawsuit, the Hursley's daughters claim their parents struck a deal with ABC way back when … to reap 10% of all profits from the syndication of the show … but ABC hasn't honored the deal.

The daughters allege ABC has cooked the books for years — and has failed to pay the full amount owed to the creators.

The Hursley children do not specify how much money they believe ABC owes — but they want a judge to force ABC to open up its books to an audit ASAP.

I swear, the drama behind the scenes at ABC Daytime is the juiciest storyline we've heard about all year, although the network's "One Life to Live" is sure giving them a run for its lack of money with its SCANDALOUS and, dare we say, SHOCKING climaxes to its top stories set to air during the all important May Sweeps period, which will have millions of viewers on the edge of their seat. May Sweeps begins Thursday, April 28 in case you were wondering.

As a side note, TMZ thank you for exclusively breaking the story, but "General Hospital" is not "the longest running daytime soap in television history." While it is true that "GH" is the longest running currently airing soap, it is not the longest running ever – that title goes to "Guiding Light," which was canceled in 2009 by CBS. Otherwise, as I've said before, "As The Life of Children Turns" happens Weekdays Behind the Scenes at ABC. Never on TV. Of course, no "Hospital's" were physically necessary in this report.

Roger Howarth's First 'One Life' Airdate Revealed

( — As we previously reported, Roger Howarth is set to return to “One Life to Live” this spring. And, while it isn’t clear if he will be reprising his signature role as Todd Manning, or if he’ll be playing someone else, fans can expect to see Howarth back in Llanview sooner than previously expected.

Although he wasn’t even scheduled to begin filming scenes until next month, ABC Soaps in Depth reports that Howarth will appear on screen beginning Friday, May 13, as the Todd storyline continues to unfold. “One Life to Live” Head Writer Ron Carlivati made the decision to insert some of Howarth’s scenes into episodes several weeks ahead of his original anticipated first airdate early this summer, after ABC cancelled “OLTL” earlier this month.

Howarth played Todd Manning from 1992-1998, and again from 2000-2003, at which point Trevor St. John took over the role.

( — "The Young and the Restless" Episode Recap – Tuesday, April 26, 2011.

                  IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Victoria and Billy wake up to discover that Delia and Lucy are not in their rooms. Victoria assumes that Jana could have either taken them downstairs for breakfast or out for a stroll. When the discover that Lucy's and Jana's clothes are missing, they begin to panic.

Kevin gets a call from Jana, asking him to come meet her. She has news for him regarding where his niece is. Kevin takes off, right at the time that Chloe and Chance arrive at the coffee house together to share coffee. As the two are talking, she received a phone call from Billy, asking her if Delia is with her. When she asks what's going on, he breaks the news that the girls have been kidnapped. She quickly deduces that it was Jana that took them.

Katherine and Murphy head over to the Newman ranch to have breakfast and conversation. Victor is pleased to see them and they spend time chatting with one another. During their conversation, Victor receives a call about Lucy and Delia being kidnapped. He cuts their breakfast short and calls Nikki, letting her know what has happened. Nikki, who's at the Athletic Club, tells him that she's on her way. As she hangs up the phone, she calls the waiter over to bring her a pot a coffee. It's clear that she needs to sober up before leaving.

Chance, Chloe and Jill all arrive at the house to find out what's going on. Jill comments how she could kill Jana for taking her grandchildren, while Chloe attacks both Billy and Victoria for not taking her seriously. She rails them for not listening to her when she warned them over and over about Jana's instability. Before things get heated, Chance ushers Chloe away to cool her down.

When Kevin arrives at the abandoned school house, Jana fills him in on the fact that Lucy is his niece and that Billy bought her from Primrose. Kevin is happy to know that Lucy has been in Genoa City the whole time. When he says that they can go back to Billy and Victoria's, Jana tells him that they aren't giving back Lucy or Delia to either of them. Filled with delusions, Jana wants the two of them to be together and raise the girls as their own. Kevin is horrified to learn that she's kidnapped both of the girls.

Victor and Nikki arrive at the house and offer comfort to their daughter. Victoria calls herself a bad mother, but Victor corrects him in saying that she couldn't have known that Jana would kidnap the children. Meanwhile, downstairs, Daniel, who has arrived with Abby, after hearing the news, talks to Billy and tells him that he believes Jana took the baby in an effort to get closer to Kevin. Abby interrupts them and Daniel tells her that he's going to be a part of the search party. She offers to go along.

A scared Chloe admits to Jill that she is afraid that Jana is going to harm Delia. Jill tells her that she wouldn't harm the children. Chloe isn't so sure, considering the fact that she took all of Lucy's belongings but left Delia's. Jill hugs Chloe and assures her again that Lucy and Delia will be found.

A quick thinking Kevin tells Jana that he's happy that she was the one that found Lucy. She becomes overly happy when he tells her that he wants to be with her and start a family. Thinking that he's talked some sense into her, he explains in order to do that, they need to take the children back to their parents. A scared Jana says she can't go back to the house. Having another option, they head to the church. They arrive seconds after Murphy and Katherine have left. A nervous Jana wants Kevin and her to hurry up and leave before the police arrive, but Kevin wants them to wait, to make sure that the children are found safely. Jana realizes that she's being played and pulls out a gun on Kevin, ordering that they leave. As the leave out of the church doors, Katherine, who left her purse returns with Murphy and hears Lucy crying. They are overjoyed that the girls are alright.

Billy is about to tell Victoria the truth about Lucy when he received the text that the girls are at the church. The police officer instructs them to stay put until they are sure it is safe, but Billy, Victoria and Chloe ignore his words and head out to go get their daughters.

At the Athletic Club and edgy Daniel wants to get a move on so that he and Abby can find Lucy. Abby can't understand why Daniel is getting so riled up about finding her niece. Unable to hold the truth in any longer, Daniel blurts out that Lucy is his daughter.
