Timbaland to Perform on ‘OLTL’

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Llanview heats up again this October as hip hop artist Timbaland performs on “One Life to Live.”
Building upon their recent success in booking big name musical talents such as Lifehouse, Simply Red, Mary J. Blige, and Nelly Furtado, “OLTL” is adding yet another musical talent to its roster. Early next month 35-year-old prodcuer and hip hop artist Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, will be performing at Antonio Vega’s nightclub Capricorn alongside
Mosley Music Group artist Kelli Hilson. Timbaland will performing his two hit singles “Apologize” and “The Way I Are,” which was featured on his sencond solo album, “Timbaland Presents Shock Value.” The song has gone on to reach #4 on the Billboard Top 100 Chart.
According to “OLTL” Executive Producer Frank Valentini, “Timbaland has made a vast contribution to the music industry as an artist and producer. I am a huge fan of his music and we look forward to him appearing on our show.” When asked about his appearance on the soap, Timbaland said “This is a new experience for me, I am looking forward to having a great time and sharing my music!”
Timabland’s work with artists such as Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, “Give it to Me,” reached #1 on the UK music charts earlier this year. His collaboration with Justin Timberlake on his second solo album “FutureSex/LoveSounds” brought him Grammy and MTV Video Music Award nominations. Earlier this year he won a Teen Choice Award in the category of Choice Rap Artist.
The episode will also feature Soap Opera Digest editor Lauren Flynn as an extra.
Timbaland taped his scenes on September 21. They will air on October 9th.
