Patrika Darbo issues statement in response to the controversy surrounding The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences rescinding her Daytime Emmy Award for her work on “The Bay.”

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has revoked Patrika Darbo’s win in the category of Guest Performer in a Digital Daytime Drama Series after an investigation found violation errors in her submission. The organization also decided to forgo a winner after finding additional violations with other nominees in the category.

Celebrating the best of daytime television, “The 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” are set to kick off tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA, but you won’t be able to view it on traditional TV.

Although “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will take place as scheduled on Sunday, May 1, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that the awards show will not be televised as expected, citing a lack of sponsorship as the reason.

CBS’s hit daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received 19 nominations for the 42nd Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards, it was announced today.

It’s official: “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will be broadcast live on Pop on Sunday, April 26 from 8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT from the historic Warner Bros. Studios lot on Stage 16, it was announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The awards show, which will share space previously utilized by such iconic films as “Casablanca,” “Jurassic Park” and “Ghostbusters,” will be executive produced by Michael Levitt and his Michael Levitt Productions banner. Credited for creating the “TV Land Awards,” Levitt has previously produced “The Billboard Music Awards,” “The Producers Guild Awards” and the “Young Hollywood Awards,” along with several other award shows, music specials, reality shows, live events, non-fiction informational series and reunion specials.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today the promotion of David Michaels to Senior Vice President Daytime Emmy® Awards and Events. Michaels has been serving as the Senior Executive Director of the Daytime Emmy Awards since August of 2012.

The governing Board of Trustees of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) earlier this week announced the election of Charles (Chuck) L. Dages as its new Chairman of the Board. Dages was previously Executive Vice President, Emerging Technology, for Warner Bros., a position he held for nearly twenty years. As part of his job at NATAS, Dages will work in conjunction with the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees on all major programming, sponsorship and marketing of the non-profit organization and securing its mandate of recognizing excellence in the television and media industry.
