Fans have long wondered when “General Hospital’s” contract cast would be a receiving a trimming, as it’s widely known that the series has quite a large group of actors that make up the Port Charles canvas, but it was anyone’s guess whose status would be changed. Soap Opera Network has learned that actors Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) and John J. York (Mac Scorpio) have all been placed on recurring status. In the case of Thiebaud and Samuel, their status change will be reflected in the on air credits in the coming weeks. York has been listed as a recurring cast member since early October.
With photography by Brad Everett Young, several of daytime’s hottest young stars including “General Hospital’s” Kristen Alderson (Kiki), Chad Duell (Michael), Ryan Carnes (Lucas), Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) and Ian Buchanan (Duke), “Days of our Lives'” Brendan Coughlin (T), Allison Paige (Bev), Guy Wilson (Will), Jen Lilley (Theresa), Billy Flynn (Chad), Casey Moss (JJ) and Kevin Riggin (Rory), and “The Young and the Restless'” Camryn Grimes (Mariah), along with stars from “Baby Daddy” (Derek Theleer), “Teen Wolf” (Stephen Lunsford) and “Power Rangers,” have taken part in the Dream Loud campaign that hopes to bring music and the arts programs back into schools. “Port Charles” alum Brian Gaskill is also featured in the campaign, among countless others.
On the Thursday, August 21 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) returned from her long trip away from Port Charles after looking to clear her head following the death of her son, Gabriel, with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). Upon her return, Sabrina is shocked to learn that for much of the time she had been gone Patrick knew who ran them off the road and caused their son’s death. She also learns that her best friend Felix Dubois (Marc Anthony Samuel) knew as well. Neither Patrick or Felix opted to call her to tell her because they feared what it would do to her mental state, as noted by Castillo in Soap Opera Network’s recent interview with the actress.
On today’s, August 21 episode of “General Hospital,” actress Teresa Castillo returns to the screen for the first time since her character, Sabrina Santiago, left Port Charles to get her head back on straight following the death of her son Gabriel with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson).
