With the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards slated to happen today (Sunday, June 16), the entire daytime industry has been abuzz with excitement and preparation. On Monday, April 1, ABC’s “General Hospital” turns 50! In honor of the event, fans have been anticipating the return of one of the shows grandest events…the Nurses Ball. While things don’t kick into high gear for the event until the Friday, April 5 episode, we at Soap Opera Network wanted to make sure you got a glimpse of some of your favorite actors before their characters start singing, dancing, and throwing punches.

Soap Opera Network has learned that ABC’s “General Hospital” has hired actor Marc Samuel to portray the contract role of Felix, a nursing student friend of Sabrina’s (Teresa Castillo), who helps her get ready for an important meeting. Samuel first airs on Tuesday, December 4. Look for the character to play an integral role in helping return the annual Nurse’s Ball charity event to General Hospital.
