With “The Young and the Restless” losing its leading men in a one-two punch, as both Billy Miller (Billy Abbott) and Michael Muhney (Adam Newman) filmed their last scenes on Thursday, December 19, cast and crew of daytime’s most watched drama series have put together video tributes to honor the departing stars.
It’s not uncommon for soap opera stars to appear in music videos (we’ve even done features about it in the past), but “General Hospital’s” Sean Kanan (A.J. Quartermaine; ex-Deacon Sharpe, “The Bold and the Beautiful”/“The Young and the Restless”) and his wife, Michele Kanan, have turned the tables: The duo actually made their own music video specifically about the genre!
As part of a soap opera star filled season, CBS’ “The Price Is Right” just announced the list of daytime stars set to grace the game show stage throughout the month of November! So who will be coming on down and helping Drew Carey as he hosts a variety of iconic games, including Lucky Seven, Plinko, and Shopping Spree?
Goblins and witches and ghosts, oh my! And no, we’re not talking about the millions of children who’ll be cavorting around as such on All Hallow’s Eve next week. We’re talking about the stars of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Price Is Right,” “The Talk” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” as all five shows are featuring Halloween themed episodes on Thursday, October 31, complete with fun and creepy costumes!
CBS announced yesterday that “The Price Is Right” will be introducing a brand new pricing game called “Do the Math” during its season premiere week (Monday, September 23 through Friday, September 27), but that’s not all the longest-running talk show can boast about: According to the official press release, several stars from “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” will be appearing on the game show all season long! There’s no word yet on who will appear and when, so stay tuned for details as they develop!
In an interview published in the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest, on sale now, “The Young and the Restless'” Michelle Stafford reveals the real reason behind her decision to exit the top rated daytime drama series after 15 years portraying the role of Phyllis Summers, whether the powers that be (TPTB) ever tried to change her mind and her thoughts on the soap possibly recasting the character.
Remember that rap video teaser showing Sean Kanan (AJ Quartermaine, “General Hospital”) rapping alongside some of daytime’s finest men including Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman, “The Young and the Restless”)? Turns out you’ll finally get a chance to view the video in its entirety during Kanan’s upcoming November appearance schedule as part of his birthday bash weekend. From Saturday, November 2 (Kanan’s actual birthday) through Sunday, November 3, Kanan has scheduled appearances in New York and New Jersey that’ll include a screening of the rap video “I’m a Soap Star,” stand-up comedy, an autograph signing, and posing with fans.
While her character, Cassie Newman, died as a result of a car accident in 2005, Camryn Grimes has made several return visits to CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” The actress, now 23 years old, recently returned to the soap as a “projection of Sharon’s [Sharon Case] mind,” according to Grimes who discussed her character with on screen father Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman).
