On Thursday, May 1, selected categories for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be announced live during the 8:30 to 9:00 AM ET portion of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” it was announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Twitter.

The ABC Television Network and Gray Television, Inc. announced today that they have reached a new affiliation agreement that allows Gray Television to broadcast ABC’s full programming schedule in Laredo, Texas beginning in February 2014 using KGNS digital channel 8.2. Programming includes ABC’s primetime lineup, “Good Morning America,” “World News,” “Jimmy Kimmel” and ABC’s Daytime programming including “General Hospital.”
In addition to announcing more presenters for the “40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards,” airing LIVE on Sunday, June 16 from 8-10:00 PM ET, HLN has also named “Good Morning America’s Sam Champion and their very own A.J. Hammer and Robin Meade as hosts of the telecast. Additionally, the network has announced that Hammer will host the LIVE red carpert special “Showbiz @ The Daytime Emmys,” which will lead into the awards telecast. Hammer is the host of HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight” series airing Mondays through Thursdays from 11:00 PM – midnight, ET.

Sunday, September 23 marks ABC’s turn to host the “The Primetime Emmy Awards” (now in its 64th year) and in honored tradition the network will also be airing the pre-show, “Emmys Red Carpet Live.” This year the red carpet festivities will be hosted by the network’s Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer (“Good Morning America” and “Good Afternoon America”), Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”) and Clinton Kelly (“The Chew”).
