Ever wonder what it all took to make “The Stafford Project” come together? In a new behind the scenes video, creator Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers, “The Young and the Restless”) informs fans of the hit web series that it all came about from a script in her head, how co-creators Paige Dorian and Paige Long helped evolve the idea from her head to the screen, and much more. Plus, if you haven’t been exposed to the series until now, we’ve got every episode available for your viewing pleasure!
TVGN is proving why it’s now the “the new way to watch soaps.” With the network already picking up encore airing rights to “The Young and the Restless” this past summer, and “The Bold and the Beautiful” earlier this month, the network plans to provide soap fans with even more “soap” for their viewing pleasure courtesy of the new documentary, “Who Shot the Daytime Soap?” Airing Monday, December 16 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, preceded by airings of “B&B” at 6:30 PM ET/PT and “Y&R” at 7:00 PM ET/PT, the documentary tackles the history of daytime soap operas as told by those who were there during the good times, the bad times and the new times.
If you never imagined you’d get the opportunity of seeing the likes of Sarah Joy Brown, Alicia Minshew, Melissa Archer, Ron Raines, Scott Bryce, Crystal Chappell, Tina Sloan, Ricky Paull Goldin, John-Paul Lavoisier and Louise Sorel in the same series at the same time, your imagination needs some fine tuning. With actresses Jessica Morris and Rebecca Mozo rounding out its cast, “Beacon Hill: The Series” is ready to march itself to the top of the internet charts when it debuts in March 2014. To get viewers to salivate over what’s to come, Bella Productions in association with Open Book Productions has released the first teaser trailer that highlights Brown and Minshew as two out lesbians trying to survive the political world in Boston, Massachusetts.
Bella Book Productions and Open Books Productions announced today that former “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital” actress, Sarah Joy Brown, has joined the cast of the webs series “Beacon Hill,” which follows the political world in Boston, Massachusetts. Filming is set to begin later this fall in and around Boston.
Crystal Chappell (Gina Brogno, “Venice;” ex-Carly Manning, “Days of our Lives;” ex-Olivia Spencer, “Guiding Light”) stars as Jane in Steve Silverman’s Alfred Hitchcock-inspired series, “The Inn,” which premiered with its new season on Monday, June 3. Soap Opera Network recently had the opportunity to chat with Chappell to discuss her work on the series as well has her numerous contributions to the web series world, including “Venice” and “The Grove: The Series.” Before we post the interview, we wanted to make sure viewers got a chance to catch up on “The Inn.”
It is with great sadness to report that Paul Skipper, a long-time photographer at JPI Studios, died on Tuesday, June 4 (previously incorrectly reported by us as Monday, June 3). While it is unknown at this time what caused Skipper’s death, tweets have gone out from several past and present “Days of our Lives” cast/crew members, which is the show Skipper primarily shot for, including one from Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) that read: “Paul Skipper- RIP. No one shot more terrific pictures for our genre.” His tweet was responded to by Crystal Chappell (ex-Carly Manning), who said “so very true. Loved his dear heart.”
Fans who loved seeing Crystal Chappell (Gina Brogno, “Venice;” ex-Carly Manning, “Days of our Lives;” ex-Olivia Spencer, “Guiding Light”) as Jane in Steve Silverman’s Alfred Hitchcock-inspired series, “The Inn,” are in for quite a treat: The two-time Emmy Award winning actress is reprising the role in the second season of the dark drama!
