Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, "The Young and the Restless") appeared on the Monday, June 4 episode of "Steve." Watch what she had to say about the soap and her reality show.

While Eileen Davidson ("Days of our Lives," "The Young and the Restless") won't be appearing on the reality series until its third episode, Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" managed to snag its highest-rated season premiere in over three years, according to Nielsen Media Research ratings data, with 2 million total viewers tuning in, up 25 percent from the prior season premiere (11/4/13), on Tuesday, November 18. The renewed success of "Beverly Hills Housewives" follows the recent performance of "The Real Houseweives of Atlanta," which premiered its seventh season on Sunday, November 9 and became the network’s highest-rated season premiere in Bravo history with over 4.5 million total viewers (based on L+3 ratings data) and 2.7 million Adults 18-49 (based on L+3 ratings data), up 26 percent and 27 percent respectively from the season six premiere.

Emmy-award winning soap star Eileen Davidson has plenty of experience dealing with drama, having played “The Young and the Restless’” Ashley Abbott since 1982 and “Days of our Lives’” Kristen DiMera since 1993, but the actress is admittedly having a bit of trouble adjusting to the intense drama she’s enduring as part of the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!”

It’s been a “secret” for months, but the news that “The Young and the Restless’” Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott; Kristen DiMera, “Days of our Lives”) and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed, “DAYS”) have joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is slapping the few unaware viewers in the face this morning: Both soap divas are featured in the reality series’ brand new cast photo and Season 5 premiere trailer that Bravo just released!

As previously reported, CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" is currently on location filming scenes in Amsterdam for upcoming episodes of the daytime drama series. In a soap opera twist, cast members from the soap met up with the stars of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which reportedly now includes former "B&B" actress Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, "The Young and the Restless"; Kristen DiMera, "Days of our Lives") and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed). Incidentally, because Bravo has yet to confirm either actresses participation in the series, it looks like the meeting of the former soapers (along with "Housewife" Lisa Vanderpump) and the cast of "B&B" has resulted in the "secret" being revealed!
