Just when you thought you’d heard it all when it comes to celebrity divorces, the recent drama for “The Young and the Restless’’ star Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) is adding another deliciously entertaining layer to the land of celeb Splitsville.
On today’s episode of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” Chandler Massey says goodbye to his multi-Daytime Emmy Award winning role of Will Horton. As previously reported, Massey planned to depart the daytime drama series when his contract was set to expire in December 2013, but show producers opted instead to replace the actor upon his completion of his filming of scenes in August of last year, citing the exit as being storyline dictated. Daytime newcomer Guy Wilson took over the role when he began filming scenes in September. He begins airing on Wednesday, January 8.
After nearly 14 years on the air, SOAPnet ended its broadcast run at the stroke of midnight with the final 2013 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital” (originally aired on Monday, December 30) taking it out in style.

The numbers have been tallied, and “The Young and the Restless” has made the list of the top 10 most searched for TV programs of 2013!
As we previously reported, former “All My Children” star Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane) was arrested in November for attacking his girlfriend, and the actor has now officially been charged with four counts of domestic violence!
One thing we’ll soon find out is how much of an effect SOAPnet’s demise will have on “General Hospital,” if any at all. In a new promo touting the multi-platform availability of ABC’s sole remaining daytime soap opera, the network wants to make sure its viewers have every opportunity of catching up with the latest happenings in Port Charles.
On Wednesday, January 1, 2014 – New Year’s Day – CBS will air episode #6536 of “The Young and the Restless,” which originally aired on December 31, 1998. The episode found family and friends gather at the Colonnade Room for a New Year’s celebration, while Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) celebrated the new year with Cassie (Camryn Grimes).
As a result of the Friday, December 20 preemption, ABC’s “General Hospital’s” is currently behind in its airing schedule. What that means is that the previously scheduled “Home for the Holidays” themed episode set to air today, will instead air on Friday, December 27. Also shifted is the debut of “GH” newcomer Ryan Paevey in the contract role of Nathan West. The character, who was originally set to debut on tomorrow’s episode, will instead debut on the Monday, December 30 episode in scenes alongside Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones, who seeks to get out of town just as Port Charles gets ready to celebrate the New Year as a result of the recent baby drama and the need to clear her head. In real-life, Storms is headed for maternity leave as she’s due to give birth in January to a little girl by husband and former “GH” co-star, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara).
